I've been developing in JAVA since 1998, and other languages for 15 years before that. While I think I'm competent, I don't think I'm a God of programming.
You can do that with any credit card. The US$ amount will just be converted to the equivalent local amount at current exchange rates, plus the usual gouging that the card issuer adds.
It did not, you big fibber... I bought one in Ireland at the same time for IE£55 or so, and the pound sterling was worth a hell of a lot more than an Irish pound... God, brings me back. Christmas Eve 1984, up all night punching in my first "program" from Computer & Video Games magazine. By the next morning, I was completely hooked.
I bought a 17" Powerbook G4 (1GHz) with 1GB of RAM, replaced the Apple-supplied 4200RPM HDD with a 7200RPM drive for a performance boost, and regularly see 3 hrs of battery life on "regular" usage (iTunes streaming to an Airport Express, wireless networking, Safari, Eclipse, Mail, etc.). It isn't great but it isn't bad either. I saw about 4 hrs of life on my iBook G3/600 under the same conditions, also installed a 7200RPM drive in that machine...
Yes, the same military that rescued a bunch of American missionaries in some pisspot west-central African republic about a year back. The Congo or Liberia, somewhere like that.
Had it up and running within 5 minutes, streaming music to my living room stereo. It's a wireless client on my home network, which uses a 2Wire HomePortal wireless gateway/router/DSL modem supplied by SBC. Works like a charm, very easy to configure, and as usual the physical design is top class.
Those fucks with their shinny [sic] ass brush guards; something is missing in their vein [sic] lives...
So, excess is acceptable when it's for you, but not for the H2 drivers? Don't you think that's hypocritical? Wait - those fucks have their Humvees already, you don't have the G5. I see; it's jealousy.
Please... a story for a limited audience. The general public wouldn't be interested in such nerdy matters. (Granted, I'd be, but then I'm posting here on Slashdot...)
There are plenty of reasons to have country-specific sites. Localization and Internationalization incorporates much more than just presenting pages in the correct languages and dates and numbers in the correct formats. There are cultural differences between countries, and those should be reflected and respected.

Yeah, I'd recommend a half-gig for it to be usable. I run it on a 1GHz 1GB Powerbook G4 and it's fine.

The German Green Party is more left-wing than liberal.

If the list is endless, that must mean that it includes everyone on the planet, and then some more (aliens?). Don't you ever tire of eating alone?

You're wasting your breath on these idiots, rd_syringe. I thought it was funny, anyway.
Another sign is Dennis Hopper playing golf.
I was with you until you mentioned "eunuch"... :-)
Turns out the correct name of the city IS Kristiansand, no matter what Tricky said...
That's a great song! Brings back childhood memories...
Bah! I'm a bit thick. I was too lazy to check the CD artwork.
I didn't think anyone would get the reference! There is intelligent life out there.
Shut up, your Dirty Sanchez is dribbling into your mouth shit-talker.
Garrison Keilor was joking, for heaven's sake! Basic grade-school math covers averages, at least in Ireland.

No problem, I confirm -- just as long as we Irish don't have to pay the pound sterling price!
Not Hizzle the Hoff?
Here in St. Louis, SWB is offering 6 megabit / 608 kbps connections over DSL. I've had mine for a few months and love it.
