    There haven't been server queues for weeks. I'm on one of the more populated servers from release day, and I haven't noticed any problems in a long time.

    Yes, I'm quite suprised a Slashdot story included the motherboard comment. My file server is an old P200 running samba on a 160GB drive, and even with a rather old Red Hat installation (7.3) no extra configuration is required.
    All it can support under DOS/Windows is 8GB. It's so ancient the MB doesn't even support IDE CD-ROM booting.

    I'm having the same exact problem with one of my domains, it has been constantly dictionary spammed for about a year now, apparently from a botnet.

    It's so aggrivating to have 3000+ double bounce messages a day to the postmaster account, and no way to stop them. The most infuriating part is the pointlessness of the spammers continuing with it!

    It is so simple that most children can program their home computers to produce the Mandelbrot set.
    That's exactly what I did when I was about 12, on my Tandy Color Computer 3. Took about 24 hours to make one ~320x190 screen.

    Interference has always been a huge factor, the Space Shuttle still used iron-core memory in its systems in the late 80s, because it wasn't affected by radiation. Can't just pop in some SDRAM and expect it to work out there.

    It's taken way too long for this to happen, and there should be so many more games with at least the choice of DVD-ROM format.
    A DVD-ROM drive is only $30 or less, someone with the hardware to play a modern game has no excuse to not have the drive.

    I actually just switched jobs a week ago. Took a mediocre IT job two years ago after a round of layoffs, and just stayed because it was work and there was nothing else available. Now I found a decent tech company that is a much better fit.

    If someone has an obvious problem with the key, I don't bid.
