... Palladium is cracked. I mean the music/video/software has to be decrypted before it's used. What prevents me to create a MP3 accessing it directly from the memory?
On the other hand I think that if MS can finally find a way of preventing pirating of their software it will be their end. At the moment Microsoft rules the OS and Software market due to their large user base. I don't know the numbers but I guess a big part of that user base use pirated Windows. If they can finally stop it they will lose a great number of users to free OS's like Linux and developers will finally be able to choose what their target OS is.
As far as I know, both Gnome and Kde have this kind of feature for some time now. If we are talking about deleting stuff in a terminal then Windows hasn't got recycle bin support in the ms-dos prompt either.
I was driving to work today and I was thinking how mozilla was missing one more feature to be a even greater browser. I wished there was a way to click links without using the mouse.
I open/. and suprise, my wish was granted.
Already installed 1.2a and Type Ahead Find is just great.
One year after 9/11 I think not everything as been done to prevent terrorists from repeating this attack.
Even yesterday I saw a news piece where 2 journalists easily entered several airplanes carrying cutters and knifes. They did in several big european airports. One was even carrying the cutter in his back pocket partially uncovered.
From my point of view the best way of preventing this kind of attacks would be to disable any way of entering the cockpit from the passenger area (even knowing this could present dangers).
For every civilization in the Universe, the Universe must seem perfect. That's because they have evolved to meet the requirements of the place they live in.
That's the same as saying that the sea was perfectly built for fish's fins when its the other way around, fish's fins were perfectly built for the sea that already existed.
So if it is a mass standard whats the problems with that. If you had a ruller that always measured 1 meter but constantly changed weight wouldn't it be good enough to establish a length standard?
Taken from: Nist Home page 'The kilogram is the only remaining SI base unit whose definition is based on a physical artifact rather than on fundamental properties of nature.'
I guess that the mass of a proton can be defined as a properties of nature.
Sorry to say this but that assumption is wrong. You can deefine a kilogram as a multiple of the mass of a proton because you know that that will never change. If you say that 1 Kilogram is n x the mass of a proton then you will always be able to determine if something weights a kilogram by comparing the artifact you want to measure with n protons.
For instance a second (a time unit) is also defined as the duration (again time) of 9,192,631,770 periods of radiation absorbed or emitted by the transition of cesium-133 atoms.
I think thi says it all.
The difference is he mounted a low rev fan which makes way less noise than a small high rev fan.

Mouse gestures just won't work for the average Joe while all the applications that use them don't follow the same patterns.
It's hard enough to memorize all the gestures for Mozilla now imagine all software developers inventing their own crazy gestures.
... when MS deploy future DRM systems based upon lessons learned from it.
Something just doesn't make sense in this sentence. Since when does MS learn anything from their mistakes?

I guess the interesting part of the article must have been cut out by the web server or something.
The little text I can see talks about a optical-wireless-rechargeable mouse I can purchase in a local store near my house for at least half an year.
Or is this little country called Portugal more advanced than the US when it comes to mice?
By the way here goes the only link I've found about this mouse.
You can find a list of web based bookmarking systems here.
Now we just need some automatically reversible windows so we never have to wash them again.
I've been riding roller coasters all my life and I never had any problem with ... wait was I just talking about ...

Wow, that looks like a really clear picture.
;-)
Where can i get the camera used to take it

I've been told that we should be able to release the Linux client and server executables around the same time as the windows version ships.--Mark Rein
It seems that the Linux version of the server will also be released around the same time.
At least one.... my wife. Any husband who would answer otherwise seriously lacks intelligence. Or a desire to live.
If you really have a desire to live then the correct answer should be: only one..... my wife. Any other answer could cause severe injuries.
So this is just a case of a conceptual lawsuit :P

How many times did u try until you succeeded getting a first post? :P
Is it just me or don't you think we should consider this things as a near hit and not a near miss.
A near miss would be a hit, wouldn't it?
If it was the first then why on earth did they call it 4004?
Imagine a Bridge Builder issuing a 'this bridge is provided as is' license agreement!

Explaining it even better:
