"Blessed are those who quote themselves." - wheany

Nobody is stealing stuff in USA and exporting it to Sweden. Even if distributing copyrighted data without permission could be considered theft, the people who "steal" it are just uploading a different file to Sweden. The "thief" holds the copyright to this data file and can do what ever he wants with it. The Swedes are just hosting a file whose copyright owner has given them permission to host it.

The Swedes are doing nothing illegal. The original "thief" uploads the data directly to other "thieves." None of the data that is contained in the files that are being distributed without permission touches the Swedish server.

That's what peer-to-peer networking is about.

    Bullshit.

I consider myself a professional computer user. I know Windows and its quirks pretty well. I couldn't get Mythtv working from scratch even after a month. I tried Knoppmyth, but at least them it didn't have new enough kernel to support my DVB card, and when I tried to compile a new kernel, everything broke horribly. Finally I succeeded with Mythdora.

Mythdora has been updated at least twice after I got my box running. I have been too afraid to try and update my box, because even if DVB subtitles don't currenlty work, I prefer that to not having Mythtv at all.

Chernobyl happened 20 years ago. Some species, like mice, have probably had several dozen, if not hundreds of generations. Even dogs rarely live 20 years, and I'd imagine wolves to be the same. If that's true, assuming that a wolf first reproduces on average at the age of 2, there have been 10 generations of wolves after the Chernobyl accident. In any case, there has been time for several generations to be born.
