Seasons have gotten shorter. They went from 22-24 episodes a few years ago, to just 12 episodes now. I blame Sci-Fi (sorry, SyFy) for the hiatus model. I seem to remember them being the first to do this.
As far as episode recaps, I'll agree that those are extremely annoying. As are the blasted watermarks, which keep getting more and more obnoxious.
With Nextel, you at least have a certain degree of freedom. For one, you're able to update your phone's firmware from home - using the $25 data cable and iDENupdate, of course.
Then again, I did have to go through a somewhat shady (read: third-party, most likely frowned upon apps) process in order to put a custom graphic and a few ringtones on my handset. I don't agree with charging $2 for a 130x130 piece of generic GIF clip-art or 30 second MIDI.
As a signing bonus, I lucked out with a cluless trainee who gave me the 2 year contract price for the handset while only signing up for a 1 year contract. I see it as my compensation for having to sit through a 45 minute procedure that should have only taken 15.
Tripping the Rift has been around for quite some time, in the form of a short. I think it actually started out in around 1998.
Sci-Fi's had a habit of buying relatively obscure properties in order to rehash them on their tired network. The proof is at TV Tome upon looking at the info for most of the series that the Sci-Fi channel has had on lately. Sci-Fi will slaughter anything that Tripping the Rift used to be, of course.
The last few episodes of Angel I've just found myself wandering out of the room to find something to do. Something's very wrong with the show this season.
What's wrong with Angel this season? It's called Joss Whedon. Now that he doesn't have Buffy, he's taken to messing with Angel. David Greenwalt also left, from what I've heard.
That's probably because next to no one uses ICQ anymore. The majority switched over to AIM probably around '99 (my best guess from a shady recollection). So in other words, that's not saying too much.
My guess would be that it's due to the tar residue buildup. Back when I smoked in the house, cleaning my monitors with Bowman CRT cleaner would show the results on a rag. Tar isn't a good thing for electronics.
Sci-Fi stopped marketing to high income geeks long ago. They now market to middle-aged housewifes who enjoy wasting time watching pap like John Edward or the new swill by the name of The Dream Team.
OS X (or rather the Darwin underpinnings) comes with both GCC and an SSH server and client.
2 out of 4 ain't bad, though X11 can be installed through certain means. This brings it up to 3 out of 4. Alas, I don't know what bison is, as I'm not a developer.
I get a 403 Forbidden when trying to get to nemesis.startrek.com (The official site). I'm sure I'm not the only one. The trailer wasn't officially up at Apple's QuickTime trailers site, but I did find it nonetheless with common sense.

You can't trust dolphins. Between their squeals, squeeks, and blips, you never know if they're plotting to take over Denmark or just steal your undergarments. It's just not right!
No Grandia 2? For shame, I can't believe that one was left out.
The game's story is basically a commentary on religion, technology, and realizing one's feelings.
It's on Dreamcast and now PS2.
Also, considering the cinematics in all of the more recent Final Fantasy games, they do indeed play out more like a movie than a board game. Apparently, this is another arena that the government should have no hand in.
Sure it does. Think of the video rental retailler. They have to buy most VHS tapes at upwards of $100, while they get the DVDs for the same price that consumers do. On top of that, there seem to be some VHS tapes that are never sold to the general public, yet are finding a way to DVD because they're so cheap to produce.
Of course you're probably talking about the $35 DVDs as opposed to the $5 to $20 DVDs that I tend to get.
You forget the step for somehow introducing an attachment for one's genitals to the mass market.
That "fully featured AdBlock" doesn't block ads. It hides them. They still load.
What, no narwhal? Everyone loves narwhals.

Ah. Never seen them mention any of their hardware solutions anywhere.
I believe Asa cited Bouncer.

Khaaaaaaan!
GTK-Gnutella, and of course Azureus for BitTorrent.
I can picture David Hyde Pierce for that. If you check out his narration for The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human, it would fit pretty well with H2G2.

I too loved my Palm Pilot Pro, until it started draining new batteries in a very short period of time (hours, even while off).

Most of the torrents are folder-at-once downloads. TV show episodes tend to be single files, but CD images and such tend to be distributed as folders.

Watch for Dr. Phil on Sci-Fi this fall.

So I'm going to have to be the first one to say it then?
...or MCI's latest shot at residential service.
Well, there goes "The Neighborhood"
The US currently uses 3 main networks: AMPS, CDMA, and TDMA (PCS). GSM is slowly coming around.

But if one hand is doing the deed and the other is self-congratulatory, whose hand is holding the *cough* reading material?
