I know some systems have a ton on clocks, so if it happens, I'm sure someone will figure our how to do it en mass.
Ultimately, the responsibility lies with the user.
Wide screen would be nice, but it would be even better if they are using screens similar to the Sony Vaios. Those screens are very very sharp and crisp.
I agree, as much as like my 3g, I hate the touch sensiteve buttons, especially, when you have gloves on in the truck, in the cold. Otherwise, I turned on the click to at least give me some feedback. But I will keep this until i really need more space, or until it totally becomes irreparable
I bought the lifetime subscription, back with my Sony series 1 dvr. When series 2 came out, there was an uproar from the early adopters, and they let us buy a series 2 and transfer the lifetime subscription to the series 2 box. I think I have had my tivo now for almost 5 years and I bought my lifetime subscription for $200, bringing my subscription to roughly $3.50 a month.
So I gambled and I won. If you are not sure, then by all means, get the monthly service. My sister wishes she got the lifetime when She got my old TiVo which she has had for 2 years now, and at the time the life time sub was $250 i think.
Since the asteroid is set to cross below the geosynchronous satellites, anyone report on the possibly of the asteroid taking out a handful of satellites? Like the GPS and communications satellites (i though they are in geosync orbits)
You pretty summed up exactly what I was going to say. Including Wal-Mart. People just don't know any better. If you look at the selection of crap they have, they don't even know what level of crap they are looking at. And they probably have no idea what they are getting into.
There are several systems we have, each with different passwords, and with different protection schemes. Users have a hard enough time remembering easy passwords, and don't remember how many times an incorrect leg in will lock them out, either indefinitely until they call the help desk, or temporarily. Most of our systems are behind a firewall, and we haven't had too many intrusion problems, but It still could be out there.
In other words, people get locked out by stupidity. Something that looks for abnormal behavior would be great, esp when people have idiotic passwords, and suddenly a methodical password attempt to login occurs.
I couldn't snowboard with sunglasses, I much prefer wearing goggles. I do like Oakley, but I would lump the Thump and the Over the Top in the Never would ever wear category.
I do like the Tuneups II ear pieces that Giro has created for the their helmets. Much better idea, and a whole lot cheaper. Couple that with the Burton jacket and iPod, and I would be in snowboarding heaven.
Also flip up sunglasses are retarded, unless you are playing baseball.
Well if it looks like a Chicklet, does it taste like one, and then is it reusable, and if it is, do I have to store it in its wrapper, or can I use anythinh?
I was thinking the same thing. When ever they air a show like "Desperate Housewives" (Never watched, don't care) I'll send them a message for airing the show. Same thing for South Park. And everything that the fanatical might find kinda offensive.... yes I will have no more life, might not even be able to watch TV because I am sending so many "Thank you notes",that I will have to hiring someone in India to watch TV for me.
When people talk about Toy Story, Finding Nemo, et al, they are talking about Pixar, not Disney. If they create a talentless, storyless, yet nicely animated sequel, it will do more damage to Pixar, because many people will believe it is a Pixar venture.
Disney could hire a great crew, and make a great "looking" film, but it would lack the substance and all the Pixary goodness that makes their films, well, a Pixar film.
The vacuum tube sound,
Warming to the ears and puts
Solid state to shame.
Yes old technology at its best, but there is a price to pay for quality. Until I can afford such amps of vacuum tubey goodness, I will have to settle for my current amp. Which sounds pretty good. (Well pretty darn goo for my system)
The tube amp upgrade would require me to upgrade just about everything to get the ooh so sweet sound.

They seem to have a pretty good track record, unlike other sites that post anything. And yes, it is a rumor, but its also a stale rumor.

He did say that they were running on a P4 3.6 GHZ, i thought, but that's about all the specs i heard. I'll be watching the webcast at home tonight
Do not taunt happy iPod.
Sounds great. But if you want your viewing habits documented, well, this is not product for you. If you don't mind, go for it.
my bad, it will be renamed LASW, For Lawyers are Still Wimps
See the Apple Museum for more code name fun.
Naw, it will just be renamed, Lawyers are still dumb.
Didn't Adobe not include a NEF importer in Photoshop CS3 because they were worried about copyright infringement?

XP Home to be exact.
Easy, magic laser. Much like the magic bullet and the magic loogie.
Magnifying glass, or sulfuric acid.
Wouldn't there also be a bit of a residual effect, i.e. lasting longer than 15 seconds?
They will have to come up with a protective dohickey now, dunno, maybe the iPod Flash Condoms...

Right on. Voice talent helps, but its the same thing as putting an good actor in shitty movie.
