We hate licensing and the such, but how far away are we from USB dongles?

    Dongles don't work.

When Robocop 3 came out on the Amiga years ago they used a dongle. The pirates simply hacked the code and told it to ignore the dongle check.

The worst bit was that the hacked version was circulated before the game was even launched.

  2. Re:Digitiser on Ceefax Turns 30 · · Score: 1

Digitiser was certainly one of the best things on Teletext. I think it ran for around 10 years before they decided to call it a day.

Possibly what made Digitiser so popular was not so much the fact that they reviewed games, but the very surreal humour.

The Man with the long chin and Mr T and his bins were certainly some of my favourite characters on the pages.

The problem with making a sequel is that if it's bad you'll never hear the end of it. FF7 should just be left as a single game for its own good I'm sorry to say.

The other problem I have is a lot of people have apparently played FF7, but of those, how many have actually finished it?

The other side of this (not to start a flame war) is that many of the games on the PS2 simply do not look as good as those on an Xbox. Sony needs to seriously bump their graphics! If this ends up being a "PS2 + DVD Burner" like someone else said it will suck. I know they plan to bump the power, etc, that's a given, but hopefully they will push past Xbox/Xbox2

It is just a PS2 + DVD Burner. It is not the successor of the PS2, just another version.

I'm sure that the Xboxes graphics are better than the PS2s but since the PS2 outsells the Xbox I don't think it's something Sony are worried about.
