I tried installing madwifi and I absolutely could not get it to work, even with the make command it still said that I had to set KERNELPATH, which I did. I researched and tried my hardest, but the instructions for installing the wifi driver instructed me to connect to the internet and use the "yum" command to download the driver which wsa impossible, and the help included in SUSE, Red Hat Core and Slackware were all pretty horrible in helping fix this problem. Ubuntu would not even load.

Beyond that, the file system is extremely confusing compared to windows rather simple and intuitive organizational scheme (hard drives are under mnt and my files are under home?) In the instance of drunken driving, they rely on unsound measures, such as lowering the blood alcohol levels to absurdly low points rather than actually since it is a test that is easy to administer and hard to contest in court rather than trying to actually determine whether a person is actually to drunk to drive a vehicle. 0.08 is usually not even two beers for the average person.

This administration is doing everything it can to erode our privacy rights, take away due process and legal protections, increase governmental secrecy and decrease governmental accountability. All this ironically in the name of our saftey and freedom.
The Bush administration is eroding our privacy rights through warantless wiretapping of American Citizens phone calls, and we dont know if its only international phone calls because there has been no investigation of this, we only have the people who are violating the FISA statue's word on this. FISA was set up for exactly this purpose. Not only that, they have a database of nearly every phonecall made in America, and they are using it to monitor phonecalls made by reporters to find leaks in their own administration without warrants.
    http://www.thenation.com/blogs/thebeat?pid=83880
As for our legal protections, this administration wants to be able to detain indefinitely without trial anyone suspected of terrorism, Jose Paddilla is a American born citizen and though he will now be tried as a criminal due to the threat of his case going to the supreme court. This administration wished to detain him indefinitely without trial prior to that threat. That is scary and unprecedented. Were not talking about legal resident aliens, or people who illegal gained entry into the country, this guy was born here as a citizen and under the constitution he deserves a trial, every citizen deserves a trial, thats a fundamental right.
As for increased government secrecy and decreased accountability we have documents being reclassified under the freedom of information act, and non-compliance for freedom of informaiton act requests. Its not just security related concerns, but corrupt things like whether a power plant is up to code and is likely to have an accident, hand outs to his industrialist buddies. Another nice tidbit hidden from the public for a long time by Bush's rewritting of the Freedom of Information act is a memo from Exxon mobil to the Bush white house demonstrating the influence of oil companies on this administration's global warming policy's.           I think its because people consider drinking morally wrong and something undesirable people do, but cellphones are usually work related and something upper class people do all the time, thus the outrage and reluctance to pass laws attacking their use while driving. In a word driven by objective reality, the punishment for talking on a cellphone while driving would less than drinking and driving, but would reflect the fact that its a serious threat to road saftey, so a fine on the order of speeding would not be out of line and would save thousands of lives every year. Your whole arguement is false. The FISA court allows 72 hours AFTER the wiretapping begins to get a warrant, so are Bush's targest of wiretapping so flimsy that he cant even manage to get evidence after three days of wiretapping? Also the idea that exposing this program somehow endangers our national security is a joke, like we are supposed to believe it somehow matters to Al-queda whether they are being monitored through the FISA court or through exectuive discretion.
There was a Quaker church that was spied on by the Department of defense in Florida without a warrant, they had no connection to Al-Queda and they had NSA agents infiltrate the church and they conducted no violent protests. Only their philosophy, which was anti the Iraq war, made them a target of the NSA. You can be a target since there is no oversight of this spying program, they wiretapped these church going people, why not you?
As for their legal arguements, they have no basis. They argue that FISA has exceptions in wartime and that constutional ambiguities should be cleared up by executive authority. What this essentially means is that congress has no power over the president during wartime, and since we are in a war on terror that has no end in sight we have essentially a dictator in power who is not beholden to the laws passed by our congress. Today it may be a wiretapping law, yestarday it was the torture ban he said he did not have to follow if he did not wish, and tomorrow it could be your financial records. That is why this president has never vetoed a single bill, any law he does not like he just does not follow.
The entire basis of our government is the separation of power, how can we regulate the discretion of a single man? The president is not a dictator, and there are legal means of wiretapping. Why sony doesnt make any original games for this system is beyond me...I rented "infected" just to get and original game, and man is it pretty redundant, and I also rented "legend of heroes" and its pretty generic RPG, but seeing as its the ONLY decent RPG for the system that means its okay. What few orignal games there exist are not the best games. The PSP library really stinks, and I am a avid gamer and own every major system except a Nintendo DS, and the PSP has even a worse catalogue of releases than the Gamecube, or even the Gameboy Advance which has been replaced by its successor the Nintendo DS and still is comming out with more and better and more original games than the PSP (Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, Gunstar Heroes, Rivera, Sigma Star Saga). Just buy a Playstation 2 or a Xbox, and buy the games you want for those systems, they will look and control better than the PSP version since the controls on the PSP are pretty awful, since besides the games on the PSP being watered down ports of sequels for home consoles, the analog control nub is way over responsive and the digital pad is the one of the worst I have ever used and makes fighting games nearly impossible, which sucks because Darkstalkers Chronicles (anohter sequel) is a great fighting game but I cant pull off any fancy moves. I will admit I play it quite a bit, but thats only because I bought star wars battlefront 2 for it and I Play it while I am waiting for DVD's to burn or stuff to download...not its a decent way to kill time...but the game is so much better on the xbox its crazy.
