You are kidding right? This stuff is common knowledge. The last time the courts came in and tried to challenge nuclear weapons designs being published was ages ago. And they didn't succede because I believe the defendant was able to show that it was common knowledge already. Uranium is still able to be mined obviously. Its half life allows it and we haven't gotten rid of it from all of the nuclear weapons. The things that are actually classified are the fusion bombs.
That article doesn't say the internet is broken. It just says that is there the possibility of a new network design that would improve on the current structure of the internet. Who knows the new internet and the old one could co exist.
Hey. Except you are putting a shitload of energy to sustain it yea. So its not perpetual motion just motion of matter at an odd state. If you could sustain it indefinatly then it would work. Haven't you read the laws of thermodynamics??
I would think that rampage is much too strong of a word. More like unplanned excursion. Maybe it is a hint that the robot is becoming self aware? Either that or bad software design.
Its interesting to note that google has disabled more people from using their new service. They state on their site http://webaccelerator.google.com/ that they have reached maximum capacity.
Well, eventually they must take the space suits off in an airlock. When they do that the transfer of the fuel on the suits would possibly be inhaled/absorbed by them therefore they could get some of the toxic stuff.
The reason for not using the simplest combination is probably so the combination isn't easy to dial accidently. 911 is much harder to mistakenly dial than 000 or 999.
I think the thing that irks the DVDCCA is the fact that it creates a permament copy. You could theoretically rent all of those movies and not pay a penny for the content (minus the renting charge which is small).
According to other posts and common sence because you are accessing the computer the hard disk is being modified. Using dd and other tools on the running computer will possibly modify the drive and make your evidence invalid.
I don't believe any of the wireless spectrum is being sold by the FCC that will influence ham radio. Besides the ARRL does have some lobbying power to try to prevent this. They don't mention they are selling off part of the ham radio spectrum. Although most likely any new spectrum for hammers has a small chance of being available to hammers. Most likely they will be elbowed out by the telecom sector.

Apple wanted those processors NOW not later. Its too late in 2006 when intel / amd comes out with dual core processors etc...

They dismantled deep blue. Actually they used to own a computer that plays only chess.
I wonder if you could bypass the adaptive technology and try to over clock a processor based on this.
I think you forgot Scheme or scheme-wiki . After all you could implement all of those languages on a decent scheme interpreter or compiler.
There was a slashdot article on this before. The website with the papers (By RSA laboratory) is at http://rfidanalysis.org/
You might be able to get more processing power if you use glut and CG on it than an used onyx.

Possibly combined with a ion drive this battery could be very useful to power such a device for future space probes.
The Andromeda Strain was a book, not a movie. By John Crighton the same author who wrote Jurassic Park.
I read that the article refrences that it only comprises 4.65 percent of all email traffic? Where does this article say 25 percent???
Supposedly linus is already married, maybe he gave them hints in the source code?

And that is supposed to be a good thing? Perl is probally one of the worst things to happen to a programming language other than COBOL.

I believe you are refering to greenspuns 10th law .http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?GreenspunsTenthRuleOfProgr amming
Nuclear arms control doesn't stop progress. Many more countries have obtained nuclear arms. It stops their usage.

Except computer systems have nowhere near the reliability of phone systems. Phone systems are designed to be much more robust that computer systems.
