I second that, and would like a Mac OS X native VIC as well. They developed Fusion, so we know they can... Some of us really do use Macs in our daily jobs!

I see a lot of comments about how Apple might roll WINE into the OS, and how hard it is to implement the Microsoft API's.
What if Apple's plan is to have anyone interested in Windows compatibility install Windows with BootCamp, then extend Rosetta's functionality to call the Windows libraries that it can now access? Sure, it will cost you the price of a Windows license, but the programs can be run from inside OS X, so you don't lose your Spotlight, Dashboard, and Front Row (etc.) functionality? This would be like the Classic environment, where there was enough of MacOS 9 running to support the app through OS X. This type of thing has already been done with Windows' NTFS drivers in Linux.
I'm just guessing like the rest of you, but it's a tantalizing possibility...
Strange but true, though not as funny: IBM has been shipping OS/400 updates to its end users for years on "CUM TAPES". It's pronounced "kyoom" (as in cumulative) so the sysadmins won't get squeamish.
Check with your local public library. Many of them do carry audiobooks and language classes on CD and cassette. Unless you forget to return them on time, they'll be free.
I had this problem too (phantom "back" button) and asked my boss to buy me an MX510. It didn't have the "Executive" feature of being cordless, but it still had all the buttons I cared about and it's a nice red that stands out on my desk. He had no problem with that.
Maybe you should just ask? If you're worth the $X/per hour they pay for your time, then it's probably worth $50 once in a while to keep you happy.
This mouse was indeed on sale at CompUSA in Bloomington, MN yesterday for $99.99. I picked up the package myself and looked it over. The tilting scroll wheel seems nice (Microsoft got there first, though) and the box does indeed proclaim the optical mouse dead (aren't lasers optical?). I couldn't tell if the battery was replaceable like my MX700 because of the security plastic holding the demo mouse down. It does not appear to use Bluetooth, but looks very exciting. Maybe I'll get one when they're on sale. For now, the MX700 will have to do.
I'm in the same situation. I loved it at first. After I had owned the drive for a month, I noticed that the hard drive heads would park loudly at night. The amount of time before this happened seemed random, but it always seemed to happen between 2 and 4 AM. I know from experience that this noise is not expected (and usually ends in disk failure), so I was very unhappy.
I only know this is happening because the PC is in my bedroom (apartment living) and I'm a light sleeper. After a week of it, I promptly bought a Maxtor drive of the same capacity and ghosted over to it. I have no such problem with the Maxtor. The IBM drive is in the parts drawer.
Bit of a waste for a then-$100 drive. I can't rely on it, so it's not used. Needless to say, I haven't had such an immediate failure with any other manufacturer, so I'm not likely to pick IBM's drives in the future.
It's very easy. Create a bitmap file called StartupScreen and put it into the System folder.
Note that I have no idea which versions of System will use this, or even if I have the filename right at this point. It's been about 15 years since I've tried it.:)
Nice move government you just destroyed pretty much all of the cloud computing industry.
Huzzah.
...in THIS country...
Andy?

Maybe this is what is meant:
8.5mm height / 64 GB,
832 GB * 8.5mm / 64 GB =
13 * 8.5mm = 110.5mm = 11.05cm = roughly as tall as a shoebox?
My favorite record store (Electric Fetus in Minneapolis) does just that.
So what are others finding? Our Cisco rep sent us this clarification:

VMware has announced an upcoming beta of their MacOS product. Maybe it will be faster? http://www.vmware.com/news/releases/mac.html

Not to mention every Lucasfilm game...
Very subtle. Wish I had some mod points...
It's not exactly futurism, but the movie's not out yet... :)

How about QLink's add-on Club Caribe, written by LucasArts? Precursor to Sims Online?

Good luck!
I vaguely remember that he was the Ace of Spades, but this is based on a sub-second flash of the deck on CNN months ago.
Feel free to prove or disprove this. Anyone?
I'd pay $299 for that... :)
Pages 23 & 24 in mine. It is definitely from Ubik. Maybe he used it somewhere else as well?
He's not evil enough...
