Ok, he will probably get a bigger cock and a good mortgage, but anyway...hmmm...forget it :)

  5. not really dead yet on Adventure Gaming: Rest In Peace? · · Score: 1

I asked myself the same question a few weeks ago. So I asked Google about my favorite oldies and their hypothetic new versions, and I found this :

    the Zak McKracken 2 project
Zak McKracken and the Alien Rockstars
Simon the Sorcerer and the whole magic door

And many many other links (most of them are here)

It seems that the Adventure Games Community is still alive, and producing quality remakes of the old games we played many years ago :)

ALL is in the online documentation, which is pretty good. More : php5 will soon be here...with that time, many new features (better OOP ie).

Ok, leave me alone now ! I need to concentrate, as I'm writting a "learning php5" book :)

  20. I think this can be done faster... on Converting Audio from Vinyl to MP3? · · Score: 1, Informative

You should have a look to Total Recorder . It's an app for Windows, that hooks the system audio stream. The good thing to know is that it can dump the sound it hooks to the disc. Better, it can convert sound to misc formats (including MP3, WMA and OGG) on-the-fly, using the CODEC you chose.

So you just have to connect your turntable to the Line In port, then launch the windows media tool and Total Recorder. I bet you will save a lot of time converting on-the-fly !

I did this a few times, and it worked perfectly, in no time :)

Adobe is known for optimizing their products for INTEL Pentium, P2, P3, P4 CPU instructions (such as MMX/SSE I think). AMD CPU is a bad idea, as Photoshop will run slower.

Exactly the same in France, because of a EU decision to sell 3G licences for really big amounts.

And the worst is that most people in France still have an *old* mobile phone, as mobiles prices are quite expensive, as long as you don't wanna change your subscription (and by the way your phone number).

IMHO, people in the US will see videos on their mobiles, before people in France switched to 2G mobiles :(
