Sadly, that's really not very likely at all as Rare, the company that made GoldenEye is currently owned by Microsoft, and (as far as I understand it) they have more of a hold on that than Donkey Kong Country as that was made with Nintendo's IP.
The IP is another issue as I believe the license for James Bond games currently lies with EA.
So sadly the chances of seeing that or Perfect Dark, another excellent N64 shooter made by Rare, on the Wii are slim to none:(
And no...Apache versus IIS doesn't debunk the argument. Why the hell not? Perfect example of an open-source being both more wide-spread and more secure than it's ms counter-part. You can't say prove it to me, but only with examples I like.
Not that I don't believe you, but do you have any link to back up Nintendo updating DS's through games? Surely they would have closed off the PassMe and stuff if they did?
Actually the situation regarding vista and vm's is rather different than you put it. It is only one of the cheapest versions which has an EULA clause (i.e. it'll work but be "illegal") preventing you from running it as a VM.
Sorry, but the NHS is not at all like any other decent "free" healthcare system and thank for that. Personally I live in Belgium (3rd or 4th on the list of taxing a few posts up) and here you walk in to a hospital and normally have little to no waiting time, referrals from your GP to a specialist take about a week. Our healthcare is not free at POS though (in many cases), eg you go to your GP, pay 15-20EUR but can then take your receipt to your health insurance and get 12-14EUR back. Recently the government also introduced a "maximum invoice" that hospitals can give you, being 500 back (note that this is also largely paid back). Works fine for me thanks and no dirty hospitals to boot!
Just to clarify, the Flemish speaking region (Flanders)that vrt servers (it's actually the state broadcaster) is in Belgium, so I don't see the confusion caused by calling it a Belgian news service, unless you doubt the existence of Belgium (and let's not get in to that here).
Another small clarification RE ST the movie: Paramount was actually working on a new series with the original crew, when Star Wars came out and they rewrote a two-parter that had been written for the series in to the first ST movie.
Anything left in your post that is remotely relevant/true?;)
Reading your link, no one got their knickers in a twist over anything. Rare/Nintendo decided to remove the feature in light of the Columbine shootings.
On February 10, 2006 Nintendo revealed the color schemes of the DS Lite upon launch. Available in Japan: Crystal White, Ice Blue and Enamel Navy.[7] However, due to manufacturing problems only the Crystal White was available at its launch; the other two colors arrived on March 11, 2006. In North America, Nintendo has announced that the DS Lite will only be available in white (named 'Polar White') at launch. In Europe, the system will launch both white and black editions. Other colors may eventually be released, as is customary with Nintendo's handheld gaming systems.[8]
In danger of looking like a fool for not getting the joke here but just in case it wasn't one... You know there was a Warhammer before those video games right? Please say yes:(
But I think going to the shop to buy some blank cd's (you can even buy them in the supermarket ffs) is an order of magnitude easier than buying some electronics off a shifty site in Hong-Kong.
Can the average person do anything with those consoles (not just developing, but running the homebrew titles on them) without going out and buying stuff? I have yet to see the DS PassMe gear on the high street...
I was intrigued by your comment about WoW actually being the third largest MMORPG so a short google and wikipedia session later I find this on Wikipedia:
"According to 1st-half 2005 data, Lineage II has approximately 2.25 million subscribers worldwide, the second most popular MMORPG in the world. It falls behind World of Warcraft, which currently has more than 6.5 million active subscriptions and is the largest MMORPG in the world.
So yeah... How is WoW not first again?
Note: I don't like WoW used to play it but bored of it rather quickly, just find it odd that you would make such a strange claim. Unless I totally misunderstood you ofcourse.
I discovered last.fm a few days ago and love it so far. First thing I did though was look for an alternative to their player and I found this little gem. It's a bunch of python scripts that acts as a streamer on your pc so you can then open it with anything that supports a streaming mp". Works great for me in Winamp, get the titles and everything.
The other commenters have already handled most of my issues with your post but no one has mentioned this little tit-bit yet:
"then the PS2 was $300 because they were still trying to break into the gaming market"
Sorry, you must live in a different world where the the PS1 wasn't the only system that mattered that generation. In my world the Dreamcast was a terrible, awful failure forcing Sega out of the console market and the N64 had like 4 games worth playing.

Interesting you should mention the free market. MS is not a fan.

Like the Beatles? Or any other song with a chorus?

You know this is about the WoW card game right? Only real life grinding involved in getting these epics.

after all, aren't we all here for speculation about what apple is going to do next?
No, that's digg

FPS? Huh? Have you even looked at the game? It's Diablo but prettier.
Can you imagine that Berlusconi was voted out of office about a month ago? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvio_Berlusconi
Whoever modded this informative has never seen the movie or just has a really, really sick sense of humour.
No reason given but IIRC everyone except Europe got white ones although I'm sure all colours will get released everywhere eventually.
All DS Lites available for purchase in Europe (just a few more days now :D) will be black

And just in case it was a joke: Haha!
Stallman is as free to look like a slob as the French PM is to tell him to get lost. It works both ways ya know.
Ok if you want to be difficult...

(With the exception of the DC)
