By 96, the 454 Towing Suburban upgraded. To leather and 11.5 MPG @ 5280 feet above sea level.
And it just cracked 200k with no major engine or transmission service - and by that, I mean anything other than oil changes. Too bad the 2nd power steering rack is on it's way out.
Big block gas engines are MUCH nicer tow vehicles in cities and suburbia. That, and they rarely belch black smoke from the 5 inch sewer exhaust the idiot driving them added (though, they will roll on 25" wheels more than I would like...)
I spend a few hours a day with my phone connected to the internet, RDP to damn near everything on it, and LOVE Verizon's service (and their customer support has gotten orders of magnitude better in recent years.) If you can't hack your Verizon phone, you don't deserve the features for free. Everybody RAVES about the "customizability" of other phones without realizing that Verizon basically requires you to do so.
Because there is a grain of respectability and truth to the pure quantitative analysis. So engineers/smart people pursue it. And the people with money who want to make more will leverage whatever small advantage the quants can generate.
Technic has been pretty much completely overshadowed by Mindstorms. The good news is that you can still find some fantastic older Technic sets on line (ebay and the like) and Technic can play extremely well with Mindstorms.
Mind you, the Architecture line is what has me the most excited lately, even if they are very much a linear Lego experience.
RTFA. Sony has chosen not to maintain the Hypervisor for the new hardware. You can still run linux on the old systems, and they do not plan to disable that feature. This isn't open source hate, it's a practical business decision by a company that loses money every time they sell a console. They made the console cheaper.
Not that I expect any different from/. most days, but who cares if its the middle of a recession? The R&D work on this has been in place for quite a while, and this is actually MORE attractive than an i7 platform right now because you don't need to move up to the new socket for the new chips - they are backwards compatible.
"Despite a poor economic climate, farmers still harvest crops they planted last year...." - come on....
Simple. They pay approximately 10-15x as much as the rest of us for non-local power generation. If a community, city, or municipality (or state, in the US) elects not to install the generators, you slap a meter on every line into the area. You charge them for every bit that passes into their area.
Also allows communities who want to pursue "Cleaner" (aka Hydro, Wind, Solar, etc) energy credits if they can overproduce.
We don't need a radically different infrastructure to implement technologies like this - we just need to better monitor our current one.
Actually, I think Bill would be a great choice. Personal gain is kind of redundant, and he has shown (on a number of occasions) his commitment to "the greater good."
To be fair, My suburban is quite useful before the plows have hit, and being on call for IT means occasionally I have been the only one who could get to the data center in a reasonable time.
Of course, 30 min later and I much rather would drive the AWD BMW, as it's more comfortable and doesn't leave an oil spill's worth of hydrocarbons in it's wake;)
The only people complaining about the art style are the ones who would buy anything Blizzard boxes. The style is attractive enough to bring in new players.
It's absurd such a small outcry has gotten this much press already.
The major providers around here seem to have wizened up that small business owners can have a premium residential connection for a lower price than a commercial one.
So they have restricted their really nice broadband in the city and will only offer higher connection speeds with a business plan.
You can cut corners - but if a 20 Amp circuit + $600 for a cheap unit is scaring you off, you are out of your league.
Bite the bullet and get what you need right the first time, because the repair and replace if it isn't done correctly will make $1500 seem like a drop in the bucket...
Flew into Chicago this weekend, and the return trip was FANTASTIC. I held up 1 of the 2 operating X-Ray lines because the security dolt had me remove EVERYTHING suspicious from my carry on to run it through the scanner separately.
6 buckets later (2 laptops, the laptop bag, my carryon, my shoes, and the Xbox 360) they scanned EVERY ONE of my common household items to determine that I was not a terr-o-ist, only to discover that 1. Their xray could not actually scan the laptops or 360 accurately and that 2. Due to the design of the chutes, the line was help up even more as I repacked the carryon.
Russian, Chinese, or Arabic. Bilingualism is a FANTASTIC resume skill, and it will likely pop up more than you think. If I spoke Russian instead of Spanish as a 2nd language, I could have taken a 3 month trip to Moscow with the QA team.

I lusted after that thing as a kid, and now it's rare enough I can't justify paying for one on ebay. It always looked amazing in the pictures!

So a Kudos, for pointing out the Hacked Dll doesn't work because the system is smarter than the hack finally. Give it a few weeks...
Listen to this guy.
Permanent beta in 3...2...1...

Why do you think the standards for entry are so high? They're trying to justify wasting that extra 2-4 years....
I can't tell if you are joking, or serious. I am going to go with the latter, because I do as well.
Flame-on!
Wait - they're already employed by someone else. And probably making comparable salaries to their BRILLIANT business scheme.
Yes, it's a South Park reference.

I did check the luggage. There was no clothing in my carry on. Just electronics - and yes, I did need both laptops. The 360 was a luxury item.

What security?
Wonder if they included some good old fashioned Dowsing Rods to find water too?
