No. . . IT shops have do what *Company* thinks the users need.
Ultimately, IT follow the business directives that management have made. If an end user believe that the current directives do not meet the needs of the business, ultimately, they have to make the justification for changing the directives and policies to management, not just to IT.
You know how, when you load PC-Write, it takes about 10 or 15 seconds to read it off the floppy disk? Well, when you have this 'hard disk' thing, you type pcwrite, hit ENTER, and the hard disk goes 'zzzzt' and then the PC-Write screen pops up all at once."

In the downtime I tried to show the woman the virtues of an IRC channel she could share with family and friends and how much less bullshit she would find there
I have to admit that I liked cars more than Toy Story 2 but I loved Monsters Inc so I am actually looking forward to these
I don't, at least not Monster Inc 2. The Monster Inc movie has one of the most touching endings I seen in animation - it just a *perfect* ending to the film that to have a sequel afterwards cheapens it.

Right. . . .
Obscure 80s animation reference that is actually on topic FTW.
Hey, where's the profit?!
Somebody is working too hard to aim for the fun
There is definitely not enough meat in this thread.
The sad part is I don't know whether to mod it "Funny" or "Insightful".
Of course not. They would be caught dead playing Warcraft.
THE GOOGLES! THEY DO NOTHING!
Let me guess: married?
Finally, a salacious snark. Took you guys long enough.
Where is the mod for TMI?
