Sad news. It's only now I am realizing I was mispronouncing his name the entire time I've been on Slashdot. I always assumed it was pronounced like the city Lima, Peru, "Rob Leemo". Not sure why I thought that. Now I find out it was actually "Rob Limo" and that the man owned a limo company at one point. Best wishes to his family.
Worst possible software? I hate to swoop in and defend Microsoft of all things, but Windows Phone 7 isn't that bad. It's not perfect, but I think it has a lot of potential. I'm personally excited to see what it can do with some decent hardware (Nokia).
I beg to differ, but I thought the Children of Earth miniseries was fantastic. I was shocked and delighted by how dark in tone it was; even darker than the first two series, which were dark to begin with.
I've got the same phone and I use the copy and paste function frequently. For example, if someone sends me a text message asking me for someone's telephone number. Say that person doesn't have a smartphone, I don't want to send them my contact as a vcard because I don't know if their phone can accept it. So, I open up the contact, highlight the phone number and hit copy. Then I switch back to the sms function of the phone, hit paste and select send. It's simple and it takes all of maybe 30 seconds.
When my upgrade comes around, I might just switch to android even though I have really enjoyed my WinMo phone.
I fondly remember the days when my Gillmen used to put me down and make fun of me. The Dreamcast had some of the most innovative and engaging quality software. It definitely wasn't given enough time to reach its potential, I'm sure devlopers could have really wowed us with its capabilities. I remember DOA2 looked far better on the Dreamcast than the PS2 version. I just don't think peeople gave it a fair chance.
My company currently uses an Altigen system. After the initial setup, it's pretty intuitive so it's easy to add extensions and whatever else you need to do. I would say Altigen offers a good solution for small to medium sized businesses.
I don't see why people take sides. Each system can do amazing things, and each has some great games and more coming in the future. Evrybody needs to chill out.
do you own the coaxial cable that they laid down that services you and other cable users? I'm not saying ou would be wrong to do it. I mean, if I had a cable connection, hell yeah I'd "uncap" it! But, you still don't have the rights to the bandwidth the company provides, just a portion of it, legally.
The flash movie was pretty cool

but what was the deal with the "thumbphrase" what does that do, eliminate typing? Where's the mouse thing exactly, on the side? Anyway, here's the address. I don't want to mess with html, haven't done it in a while so here http://www.sony.jp/products/Consumer/PCOM/PCG-U1/f eat2.html
I don't remember there being many 1st gen PS2 games I wanted to play. The only ones I liked were Timesplitters and Tekken Tag Tournament, and those were only fun in multiplayer. But once all the stuff people were waiting for came out (Twisted Metal Black, Onimusha, MGS2, ICO, etc.), a PS2 purchase was well worth the money. The same is true of the xbox now. There are a few brilliant games like Halo and Jet Set Radio Future but most of the exclusive games we are waiting for are yet to be released. I know people are automatically opposed to a Microsoft console, and always have their fanboy favorite, but truly every system has its merrits.
I doubt that Everquest on the PS2 will be as successful as on the pc due to one main reason, PS2 owners aren't usually the type to spend hours and hours doing the same thing just to raise their levels, especially online. The problem is that PS2 owners, besides harcore rpg players, don't really want to spend the time doing stuff like that. They would rather see massive amounts of blood and large explosions.
Hey, did anyone notice that combat was spelled with a k? I know this seems to be the trend in video games, but has it traveled so far as to be accepted as a perfect substitution for the letter c?
I believe she first had it in SSF2T.

I think it might be the director. I saw Shattered Glass, in which Hayden Christensen was actually really good.
I'm too lazy to put forth the effort to decode it. :)
condemning the Xbox. E3 starts tommorrow!
With as many seasons as there were, the "truth" should have been far more complex and mindblowing.
from what I have read, the guy with the white dreads is a new model of super agent or something.
and yes, I do understand that at the end of the last movie it crashed and now they have rebooted or whatnot, but it still could be a cooler title
Hasn't been slashdotted yet :)

I'm surprised the new Sony theatres right next to Boston Common doesn't have a digital screen. That place is huge with, I think, 20 screens.
Too bad I can't get into the premium theatre for another 3 years, because it's only 15 minutes from my house.
and now they just expect it to change just like that. Ridiculous.

It's called the kikokken.
was it just me or did Natalie Portman look smoking hot in this new trailer? I've never found her very attractive, but in this trailer, I mean damn. ;)
