Each platform has its own strengths and weaknesses, and all have some excellent games. Anyway, I'm excited to see how this turns out.
The guitars and all that other stuff are a bit too hardcore fanboy for me. Even if you rock, no girl will give you a second look if the music you are playing is coming out of one of those things.

There's no loss of sound quality at all. Am I wrong, or was the music industry pissed off when casette players began to have the ability to record too? Nobody wants Disney's Aron Carter or whoever that kid is anyway.:P
Although Apple is doing better than it was 6 or 7 years ago, it is still not close to being what it once was. If Mac people are going to pirate software, they are just helping to defeat the company they love so much by increasing software prices making Macs more expensive than they already are. I mean geeze, they really are expensive.

While I agree that this is the reason why Japanese controllers are not being allowed to be used on US consoles, it sure would have been nice to use the smaller Japanese controller.
I'm pretty sure there is one in the Boston area,I remember hearing something about it, or maybe it was New York. Either way, doesn't 20 seem a little low. I realize that cost would be a mjor factor, but there have to be thousands of large theatres across the nation. Maybe the number is actually 200?

what about a seizure warning? I'm sure some jerk has a page that flashes red and blue at the correct rate to cause seizures.
IF they make these "disposable" disks, it would be as bad as the millions upon millions of AOL freebies that occupy the nation's dumps. It may be convenient to not have to drive it back to the video store, but think about all that plastic.
I bought a Geforce2 Ultra (expensive)and about a month and a half later the Geforce3 comes out. I didn't wait because I didn't think the performance difference would be so great. Oh well, my card is still pretty good and should last another 6-12 months.
The architecture of every game system has been as well. I remember that sega had an official sega licensed cartridge for the Saturn which would allow you to play import games. This was a god send to people who wanted to play arcade perfect ports of games like Marvel vs. Street Fighter or Street Fighter Alpha 3, and not deal witht he crap versions available for the PS1 (let's face it the PS1 wasn't very good for 2D due to it's lack of ram). These ports weren't available for the Saturn in the US and sega made it possible for American players to play these gems. Capcom even included the english version of Marvel vs. Street Fighter on the japanese disc. It was unlockable after beating the game a number of times. I realize that in the age of cheap cd-recorders pirating is a big issue, but perhaps Sony could release their own product allowing the play of imports, so that we can play games like Vib Ribbon that were never released here and probably never will be.
Devil Dice was made on a net yaroze system if I am not mistaken. Sony bought the rights to it and released it in Japan and the US. It was a highly addictive puzzle game. I used to get playstation underground magazine (cd mag) and there were always a few homemade games on the discs created by people using their net yarozes.
We should also pray that it is better than the gameboy game based on the movie too. Did anyone ever play that? I did, and I can tell you it sucked Rob Limo's rather considerable dick! Come on, doesn't anybody remember the post made by a faker Rob Limo that said, "Perl sucks my rather considerable dick"? I know somebody does.
Oh right, I forgot Neon Genesis Evangelion!!! This is an excellent series involving high tech mechas used by special children to battle "Angels" (weird creatures whose origins are not fully known), and they are the last hope of the human race. Lot's of anime sounds cheesy but turns out to be very very cool.
Galaxy Express 999 : a good space drama about a boy looking to avenge his mother's death. IT SOUNDS CHEESY BUT IT'S DAMN GOOD. woops caps hehe (too lazy to fix)
Queen Emereldas : Takes place in the same universe as Galaxy Express 999 and includes some references to it. Nice animation with some nice mingling of cg in there too. Good story.
Green Legend Ran : A post apocaliptic type anime where aliens have taken all the water and plants from earth and their mysterious plot to destroy the human race. Again this sounds cheesy but it is realy good.
Revolutionary Girl Utena: This is a shojou (girls anime) so it's not for everyone. It starts out weird but gets really addicting. When I bought it and popped it in my dvd player, I prssed play and after 2 minutes was thinking, "AHHHH I bought crap!" But I watched the rest of it and it got so cool. Lot's of sexual inuendo. It's weird and cool.
Grave of the Fireflies: This is a sad anime about the struggle for two recently orphaned kids to survive in WW2 Japan. It is a tragic story, but it is worth watching.
Slayers: This is a really silly and funny anime about two Sorceresses who travel to a mysterious island. It's pretty good so check it out.
Ranma 1/2: You should check this out from the beginning of the series. It's good. It's about a guy who fell into a magical pond so now when he gets splashed with cold water he turns into a girl and warm water changes him back. This is incredibly funny.
Sailor Moon: If you haven't seen it I don't know where you have been. It's an awesome anime about super heroine teens in ultra mini skirts. It's cheesy but funny.
Armitage the Third:Polymatrix : This is an awesome anime done by Pioneer starring the voices of Keifer Sutherland and Elizabeth Birkley. It's about a series of killings of high profile people who turn out to be illegal third type androids. This is one of my favorites. Great Soundtrack too.
Princess Mononoke : This is coming out June 13 and I am psyched. If you didn't see it in the theatres you owe it to your self to see it. It is arguably the best anime ever created!!!
Well I hope you enjoy these animes as much as I did beause I only told you the good ones. If you don't mind a few scenes of animated sex then check out the Golgo13 series. Don't worry it's not hentai because that stuff usually includes weird space tentacles violating barely legal young women.

Microsoft just announced a new, smaller XBOX controller for US release. It's very similar to the Japanese controller.

Yeah, I believe one of the special edition versions released in Japan was water cooled. Most of them were air cooled however.
