This is just the kind of synergistic, customer-centric, upsell-driven, out-of-the-box, customizable, strategically tactical, best-of-breed thought leadership that will help our clients track to true north. Let's fly this up the flagpole and see where the pushback is.
Marge: "Happy Love Day everyone!"
Lisa: "Come on Mom! The stores just invented this holiday because they wanted to make money!"
Homer: "Lisa don't you ruin another love day!"
They have heaps of tracks for free and for sale.
It is an Australian site run by Destra who have been one of the first companies to sell legal music downloads in Australia. They have a lead on Apple because their is still wrangling with local record companies over the lax DRM of AAC.
This is just like the Pearl Jam concert recordings they are offering on there latest tour. Hours after the concert, one can download the a recording of the show they just saw. Pretty cool. Also, they get it out before the bootleggers.
There is no way that RJ45 connectors would be able to endure any kind of live stage abuse. At least mLAN uses Firewire cables which are possibly a little more durable. Why don't they update the MIDI protocol to include all these extra things. In a MIDI lead two of the five pins don't do anything anyway. Everyone's gear already has MIDI connections, so I reckon it would take a while for the new protocol to take off.
All in all though, new technology such as this will create some totally wild new music and some awesome new stage shows. I am excited! (Big Kev excited!)
Obviously no one has ever seen the episode of the Goodies where they went to South Africa and there were different rules for tall and short people, and it was called "Apart Height". Oh well.......
In Japan they chose to use ACC or mpeg4. And as for the rest of Asia, Europe etc etc it will all be different. Digital TV was the big chance the world had of unifying on a couple of standards. As usual though, such an idea is but a dream...ho hum...
The scary bit is this got a (Score:5 Funny) the other day. Cannot find it now. Must've been modded down after they stopped laughing and realised the joke maybe on slashdot...
Do you remember that scary kids show with Catweasel in it. I can't remember what it was called, but he was like a scarecrowe that came to life with a bad cockney accent. Some crazy BBC produced thing. He looked like some kind of alcoholic street bum.
I think it would be filthy if we got a 3D movie of the Simpsons. How hard could it be? It would not have to rendered all hardcore like Star Wars. It would be heaps better than the 3D Homer halloween episode they did years ago. I cannot wait!

I hope this does not go against any of their Apart Height rules. You know, Microsoft being taller than Linux.
...I don't have a Hotmail account, and don't let anyone go near a MSN site on my computer. Rather simple really.
Can you tell me what RTFM means? I thought it was Rage Against The Machine, but there's no F in it.
How long til we see Xtreme videos of dudes doing jumps, riding in halfpipes, and generally filthing it up?
AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) not ACC

...fondest Macgyver memory or joke here.
Australia will become on top of the world and no longer the "arse end of the world". We rule!

slashdot story + 1st witty Simpsons quote = (Score: 5 funny)
I haven't seen these patients.... .......Can someone correct me if I'm wrong please!
Yes Doc, an incorrect diagnosis if I've ever seen one.
We like a little tobacco mixed into our cones down here in Victoria. Rest of Australia like it green though...
Does anyone know who the voices belong to? They sound very familiar. Website wasn't much help...
Here's a link to the original TV series :
Catweasel
See what I mean about scary?
