I'm sure Iran has better commercial 'net access available than just T1's.. If this company is serious about succeeding, and with those prices I'm sure they can, they most likely have a bit wider pipe.

In all honesty though, I doubt the FBI is going to come knocking on our doors with warrants saying "You're going to jail for streaming video from Iran."

Wouldn't the provider be at risk, not the receiver?

I know I should just look, but I'm too lazy. Do they run digitally copied versions of the movies? Or do they do analog-only version and have certain "playtimes"? I'd guess digital of some sort...

That's a whole lot of bandwidth if that's the case though, ouch. If you figure regular TV is 640x480, and you're trying to spit out 20-25FPS at 10-15k per image? Youch.

I'll have to check it out and give it a try.. Theres some newer movies recently released I'd like to take a look at.

I'm not touting the X-Box, was just not sure if it had DVD support or not.. My PS2 supports DVD playback out of the box, but you can get a remote for ~$20 US. I personally think it was the best buy out of the bunch, but then, I'm a big fan of Squaresoft games too.

But I do recall hearing that Square might be licensing to NGC again sometime soon (or vice-versa), so we'll see. :)

Thanks for the info, didn't know you needed hardware additions on the X-Box for DVD playback!

I have to admit that I highly doubt it... I'm sure microsoft set their current price-drop in line with expecting Nintendo to drop theirs to their current mark.

As far as I know, Gamecube can't play DVD's either, correct? That's an awesome value-added feature. I was on the verge of buying a DVD player myself as well, but ended up just picking up a playstation 2 and killing 2 birds with one stone.

X-Box plays DVD's as well, right? I think the $50 difference is reasonable.

As of right now most of the people here are using Act!, which doesn't support HTML (thankfully) and auto-running of scripts/attachments/etc. The only problem is that it has a tendency to just die or go awry at times. Oh well. My superior wants us to move towards an exchange server/outlook based solution, but I've been hesitant.

Myself? I *do* use Outlook(XP), it's survivable, but I'd rather move to something else that's a bit less corporate (and safe for that matter).
