I agree. I think the U.S. market is trying to push too much through the bandwidth. This ain't exactly Japan where everyone lives 3 inches away from each other with 100baseT networks.
Everything was just a matter of folder installs during the DOS days. You copy a binary and run a binary and delete a binary.
Believe it or not part of the reason why M$ went with the setup.exe installation was because software was harder to distribute around requiring the setup binaries.
Right when they had a hot item in the market, namely mini iPod, the demands far exceeded supply. It's like the story of Apple. They can never get it right.
Go ahead gimme that -100 flamebait troll you mod player hater.
Ok, here in MA I am doing Hi-Tech. It's a great state if you are already employed in Hi-Tech and trying to move forward.
It's an aweful state if you've been out of Hi-Tech and trying to get back in. Competition is so fierce, if you were really trying to be rich making a living. This is the wrong state.
Umm.... doesn't the university own any projects you innovate on school grounds now? Wasn't there a law passed during the tech boom to allow school to PWN you and your ideas while you are a student.
The question is whether the people setting up to create mathematical proof are ready themselves?
So many times I see people use programs like MAPLE to show something mathematical, and it ends up a disaster.
Problems is the brain on the chair, not brain on machine.
I can't believe someone marked this guy Troll with 0 score. The post is actually correct to a good degree.
People are too damn patriotic to see thru the truth. Soon victoria secret catalogs will be illegal.
Half the software industry is trying to make all these hi-level security iso so that CDs can't be copied.
Half the software industry is moving toward "Software-to-go" so that software can be distributed easily.
Which is it? You can't have both.
I agree. I think the U.S. market is trying to push too much through the bandwidth. This ain't exactly Japan where everyone lives 3 inches away from each other with 100baseT networks.
I would almost agree.
I don't think ANY WAR was a contributor to bringing Internet technology to the masses. That stuff has been used by researchers since the 70s.
I don't care what he eats. As long as he's not sticking the USB drive up where the sun don't shine in public.
I have bought one strategy guide and one game shark in my life time.
Both of which I anticipated great use for, but in the end it was a huge waste of money.
The best solution for me was having a PC online two feet next to me while I play games. That allow me to surf the web and access infinite resources.
It sure gives a new meaning to the word "joystick".
In the corporate/business world even when companies are partnering up, they are still always under consideration to be a competitor.
They are going up fight in the sales trenches just as they were before. Only difference would be the CEOs talking less trash.
Everything was just a matter of folder installs during the DOS days. You copy a binary and run a binary and delete a binary.

Funny how things come around full circle.
Don't expect Sony to ever dip the price BELOW Microsoft though.
I think this console war is pretty much close to end, and Sony destroyed their competitors.
Next Round ->
Until the day laptop graphic parts become superior, I am 100% on the desktop.
Can't imagine the temperature issue of a graphics card inside a laptop.
I "was" a redhat fan. But I find it hard to stick to them after the free release became fecesdora.
And I am not the only one...
Right when they had a hot item in the market, namely mini iPod, the demands far exceeded supply. It's like the story of Apple. They can never get it right.

What's worse is free condoms.
Nothing like knowing someone is now pregnant cause the free internet condom failed.
We actually had three teachers in the same school named...
Richard Burns (dick.burns@xxx.edu)
Dickie Scrape (dick.scrape@xxx.edu)
Philip Dickens (phil.dickens@xxx.edu)
Now if I can train my pets to fetch me playboys from local 7-11s, I am as good as without broadband.
I know someone who spent a summer programming scheme which is real close to lisp. He claimed it was the worst computer job ever.
Let's just say the last 20 pages of his code was all closing paranthesis ")", that's how aweful the experience was.

Heard there was a secret code where you can control Bush and his political party to randomly start wars with other countries over WMD. That tops GTA.
Republican Bush lovers will certainly mod me down flamebait troll -100.

They can start selling windows to come with the Xbox. You know M$ is on track one day to do this anyways.
Unfortunately history doesn't repeat itself EXACTLY. So the similarities are parallel at best.
Why do people mark these comments flamebait, at least the post is speaking some level of truth.
Damn you mod player haters.
Now people buy the CDs = RIAA profit
People who are sued by RIAA = RIAA profit
People download mp3s and RIAA complain = RIAA Free marketing
People download half an mp3 = RIAA Free sample to the public
People who read about RIAA = RIAA Free marketing
Consumers just can't win. I don't think TV stations have nearly the edge RIAA does.
