This is a fact. I know of someone closely enough who had at one time business ties to some high execs in sun microsystem. These execs swear by solaris on the job, but they are on their windows PC/laptop asap when they get home. No this is not a stereotype based on one exec either.
When Mr. redhat CEO here claims he has a 5 node linux cluster at home... it's a joke. You know this guy has already accepted $$$ from Mr. gates in a short conspiracy to take down redhat.
Execs in general like golf, lots of vacation days, unnecessary business trips, ludicrous bonuses and M$ windows. They are all the same. Nicely done, answer all the easy questions.
Man, if redhat can't even get step 1 right they shouldn't even be in business anymore.
This is what happens when you don't have expert coders and developers volunteer and do things for you. Now the managment team is taking over the whole pie and it's already a disaster.
HP is not well known for their tech support like Dell. It's probably one of the smartest move for this offer.
If they offer ineffective and lousy support, it ends up shooting this new business line as well as the linux community for worship an OS... not even the HP titan can help.
Ever since that phat-ass, gut-hanging character with long pony tail (can't remember his name) on the simpsons started worshipping comic, everyone created this stereotype. Where people who read comic books are star trek geeks with less life than a corpse.
In reality comic books provide a channel where not just artists, but regular people may be able to produce ideas on cheap paper to the masses.
Yah I enjoyed the first wolfenstein so much. The new wolfenstein with supposedly enhanced graphics and features just doesn't work for me.
The ridiculously unbalanced gameplay and aweful map designs are killing the old wolf audience. That's another example of effort wasted in the wrong place.
I realize from my female and male young cousins ranging from age 10 to 16... they play anything and everything equally. It's bizarre seeing them fight over who gets to frag more in delta force?!
Things are changing, though I hope there is a free sims online... not this subscription based garbage. Cause alot of guys and gals are not going to pay to try. The online gaming audience is skewed to those with $$$ or fast connections typically.
O wait... for any techie, that would be the entire house.
Network is the biggest bottle neck for any home PC.
If I had a choice between a supercomputer crunching teraflops in my house or a fibre connection to the web.... I'll pick fibre connection any day.
"Dude you're getting viagra."
Remember back in the days there would always be a SCSI cdrom that dominated everything in the market.
Where are these devices now? Plextor used to always 1-up the competition with a SCSI device.
I don't want IDE device that can eat up anything on my processor. I want the processing done on the SCSI card dammit.

I do not know of one person that would prefer KOF over capcom's street fighter series.
Have people actually played this game. It's the most overhyped 2D fighter. Not much to offer.
Wow with a 64 bit processor my PC can finally...
./emacs3D
#
# echo and talk to me when I am bored
# make coffee with gcc
Unfortunately all I want is a 100baseT broadband network in hmmm 5 years.

-Windows 2000, with 8 years of experience.
Hmm hello... it's 2003. This product hasn't even existed for that long.
You took the desktop linux distribution away from redhat. Did you realize this is the same as...
1.) taking Steve Jobs away from apple?
2.) taking Bath Ruth away from the red sox?
3.) taking the world trade center out of NY?
There are some things money can NEVER buy.
Well, there is ALOT of rich kids in that sandbox. You mind as well call it a beach.
Can finally be hosted with just 7 hard drives. God bless technology.
startime - 10-01-03
endtime - 10-01-13
I can own all three systems for $300 and the next generation consoles are no where in sight. Can't think of a better time to buy.
Seriously I don't even buy games on release dates anymore. Wait a couple weeks and it's down to $39. Wait a year and it's at $29.
Oh man, I once saw an ATM with a blue screen and Microsoft trademark. I ran up to it, and it ejected thousands of $$$.
If I knew it was your money, the first lapdance would have been on me.
Whatever the excuse maybe, this is a blow to the company. That's like Ballmer leaving M$.

It amazes me that so many people would call this kid stupid. You can't be that dumb to write and spread something this bad this effectively.
/.ers here would dream of.
The kid lacks some serious ethics... but damn don't call him stupid. He's doing things to windows many
Damn this is not the comedy channel. My stomach is hurting from laughing so damn hard.
It's a little early for April fools joke right?
For those MIT grads now starting on a new project to see if there is a way store the IDs... let me save you the pain.
USE A DATABASE. DON'T USE YELLOW STICKIES.
IF there is one thing I learned in the hi-tech world today... licensing don't mean much.

Today's licensing schemes everywhere are so complex... my grandma can break the laws.
