    Pfff, please. We got speaker phone users who blast the volume to concert level. Then they talk-scream themselves, while farting and eating donuts loudly at the same time. Did I mention they bring their kids in the office who yell and fart just as much.

    Ok, most AMericans in a life time watch probably 90% Hollywood made films. Well-written is a term so unbelievably diluted in U.S mainstream cinema.

    Die Hard as well as Revenge of the Sith was written mediocre at best. These are substance movies with enough machine guns and hype to attract the average crowd. I rarely if ever give credit to Hollywood screenwriting. Where Hollywood always shine is the producing and directing.

    In the middle of the .com boom, Siebel made every techie come in suit, no casual wear. I don't know what the dress code is there now. But Siebel has the hidden agenda of being a business-first, technology-second company. I am not trying to single out Siebel, but they like every other licensed software company... are too money driven.

    Can you imagine telling Linus himself he needs to have kernel 3.0 out in a week because some customer who doens't know dick just wants it. Because the customer has money, the request must be satisfied at the expense of shitty software.

    Aaaa.... but these shows are not like home-shows or car-shows where you can really invest in the product if you bring CA$H.

    You can't go home with a PS3 even if you had money. So it's strictly marketing BS. Big fish have big displays, small fish have their booths. In the end, you go home with a T-shirt.

    All these simulation games and such designed to train/improve government IT security is BS. Everyone knows the overwhelming majority of the government budget is spent on politicians. Lawyers next, hospitality, then maybe techies.

    Now I am not saying the government has no talent. I am just saying the money that attracts top talents are with the corporations.

    Higher or lower depends on the hrs. Are you wealthier if you worked 20 more hours for extra $$$?

    US corporations can push American salaried employees to infinite number of hours.

    US corporations cannot do the same for European salaried employees. A European working in a US corporation, depending on the country, can be limited to x-number of hours a day with tea time in the afternoon.

    Now, I am not saying Americans are automatically harder working, but you do the math. You can slave-drive 1 and not the other.

    1 - Companies only need to bring the next generation development kits in-house ONCE. They make it seem like they need a new SDK for every next generation game.

    2 - They only pay for a next generation SDK once! They do pay Sony/Microsoft everytime the license is used to make a new game.

    3 - All the jacked up price at the beginning of the console launch is strictly marketing & business. Nothing to do with engineering.

    4 - When companies claim they "lose money" on the hardware, it's always debatable. It cost alot less to build a console at the end of the console's generation.

    Woah, iTunes is a terrible example for future demonstration. You would end up going broke paying a couple dollars for every show you watch. It's got to be a free for all subscription service. Though the current price of cable is extremely messed up. For example...

    Comcast digital Platinum service is $100 a month with hundreds of channels. But at most you'll watch 30% of them.

    The entire Internet is $40 a month via broadband. It's interactive, and offer infinite number of channels.

    Please, Sapphire has one of the worst history among all 3rd party card manufacturers for overheating.

    They are notorious for cutting cost at the fan level with a $1 plastic fan instead of a $3 one.

    If they build terminators, it'd be made out of paper.

    The article made it seem like the world is crippled if US is no longer the fastest adopter of Technology. Japan, Hong Kong and many other Asian countries adopt way ahead of US consumers.

    The stock market might be in shit condition, but the technology never actually stops coming. Another words, investors are pissed but techies remain happy.
