OMG we are using force for conquest, more appropriately conquest for oil and Bush's personal interest. We are not liberating ANYTHING.
Liberating would be like taking part in the hell that went down in Sierra Leon to free up all the diamond thief military regime. There was no oil resources here, the presidents could care less about diamonds. That's the perfect example of U.S being a country of force for conquest over liberation.
There is nothing to liberate in Iraq, these people have been fighting forever with or without Saddam. Japanese were brutal and violent in WW2, and I can understand their history with China. So please, don't blend U.S in like we are doing something morally better. Don't freaking tell other slashdotters they are shortsighted. We are exercising our force for conquest clearly.
That kind of sums up the Nintendo handheld monopoly. I want to see Sony eat them alive in this market.
Nothing against Metroid and Zelda. It just pisses me off when Nintendo sat on their laurel for a decade with a black and white handheld system, and no one could challenger them until Sony today.
Tell me about it. I don't care if you call it Zen, HugePod, whatever.... it's about product in return for price. While Dell DJ and all these other brands are cutting closer, they need to do tank their prices the way Sega did to compete with EA sports.
Here me now, if a consumer can walk home with a 20GB Mp3 player for only $100, you are going to dominate the industry overnight.
I am one of those people who bought the game from BestBuy way in advanced and had the game sit next to me for days collecting dust. It was just a strange experience having a boxed game next to you, and you couldn't do a damn thing.
So after the 16th, I am playing the game while feeding Steam all my personal information. The whole process was ackward and downright customer unfriendly. What's even more strange is seeing Steam automatically connect everytime I play the game. Man, if I am going to be watched, at least not make it so blatantly obvious. It's wasting CPU resources starting up Steam engine when my system is barely fast enough to handle the game.
Man I can't agree more. Jail is too easy. There should be an automatic rule of thumb, rapist and murderers receive immediate death sentence. Everybody else just do your time. There are some criminals that I just don't trust re-releasing back into society. Those who commited financial frauds or caught stealing are not remotely in the same category.
Man you are making it sound like Hunting is some elite activity with a meaning. Hunting is a psychological activity that makes people feel superior about themselves while shooting animals with half their IQ. Only time I agree with the practice is... if you are starving to death, and need food NOW.
Speaking of medicine, I was feeling sick from the Boat scene. I was suffering from ridiculous (AND I MEAN RIDICULOUS) motion sickness. I don't understand how I play 20 first person shooters with no problem, but almost puked my brains out at the HL2 Boat level.
Konami is banking too much on Metal Gear sequels. They need to cut the sequel numbers street fighter style, and start calling the game Turbo, Alpha, EX.
Anyways, Halo 2 is just another UT2004. It's way over rated.
Netscape (IF YOU ARE LISTENING) we need a mail client that comes with the browser. One that is better than M$ office Outlook and can check multiple hotmail and gmail accounts. Something Outlook 200x still struggle to do. Bundle that with your firefox OEM browser, and you are back in business.
Biggest problem with Linux is still the kernel. How in the hell do you make something convenient when more than half the drivers need to be compiled into modules first before loading into the kernel.
Yes, windows drivers are still terrible by a billion-dollar-company standard. But really, Linux's achilles heel is all its own strength, the kernel.
Are you people suggesting waiting for next generation PCI-express to invest your money again?! I know PCIe is relatively new, and I waited long enough before AGP 4x was the motherboard standard. Is it safe to say that in another year... many motherboards will have multiple PCIe slots for SLI if needed? AGP IMHO exploded onto the scene over the original PCI. Even with all my research, I am having a hard time seeing the growth of PCIe right now.
Welcome to the new Millenium! No technology-related business practice has ever succeeded in carrying thru from one millenium to the next. That whole lawyer-tactics will soon collapse to hell.
The MPAA needs to kiss alot of government ass and make us all do retina scans to match up movies we buy with our DVD players. That's about the only way to really stop this.
As an Americans, I know for a fact we rewrite history more than anybody else. Starting out in school they tell you Christopher Columbus discovered America.
The funny part is, there is so much more hidden. Albert Einstein was probably one of the biggest marketing scam. He was an icon created for the Jewish community after WWII. He was ranked #1 by Times Magazine as most important scientist ever over William Shockley lol?! Back then Times Magazine was handled by 4 Jewish publishers. There are more facts showing Einstein stole the work of others than school will ever teach.
Let's not count NASA fake going to the moon in the 60s. And so many million more American propaganda.
For political reasons, it's always the same artists being marketed by the music industry. P2P and iTunes give me a chance to listen to the work of so many good hidden artists that were not worthy of producer's time.
Aside from the corporate, enterprise editions. Redhat 9 for me is still the most blazingly fast version. I don't know if it's my imagination, but every Fedora version feels beta-ish.
Do you really mean Goodbye SCO, hello linux?! Last I checked redhat has had about 5 full releases since the gap of solaris 9 and 10. That's not including the Suse, mandrake, debian and many other versions that will do 90% of what Solaris does, and do it faster on x86 hardware for less.
Ok 3 years in jail is still quite a long time. That is unless you share to same billion-dollar-corporate jail like those Enron guys. In that case you'd be punished with golf courses and lobsters for breakfast every day.
I don't know why Ballmer even cares. China has one of the highest piracy rate, top 10 if not top 5.
If windows is going in, it's going in pirated.

No no no... you got it all wrong. Ballmer has a couple emails.

Look no further than OC remix. Free video game Mp3s for a shitload of games. Site has been up forever. Great stuff.

SCO exec: When is that DOJ thing done?
MS lawyer: Sometime in 2002.
SCO exec: Well, when you are done. Come join us at SCO. We need some PROFIT!
MS lawyer: Sure. My service is expensive.
SCO exec: No problem we'll just fire the entire engineering division. Consider yourself hired.
MS lawyer: Who are you going to sue?
SCO exec: Dunno
MS lawyer: You want to roll a dice and decide?
SCO exec: Nah, let's go to the strip club first.
MS lawyer: But it's 1pm. Workday is not over yet.
SCO exec: Of course, while you are still a M$ employee, let's expense it thru Mr Gates.

Maybe the artist slept with the producer.
Maybe the artist is best friend with the DJ.
Maybe the artist kiss alot of ass.

You can never reverse engineer a worm faster than some 17 year old pump out a new worm.
Give it up, if you have something mission critical. Don't use windows or internet explorer. Use linux and firefox.

If they ever team up to be some processor monopoly the prices will fly thru the roof.
