One final point to note is that Newham will be using Internet Explorer. Steel explained that this is because Microsoft is very serious about addressing security concerns.
Aren't alot of the security concerns because of IE. That had me laughing. Firefox 5 secuirty issues vs IE 1459879683 security issues and still counting for IE.
thats about right. My college there were two females in my class. One graduated early, so now there is only one. This is out of roughly 20. I don't know how many females are in the other classes (I personally know of one, but I know they are more, just don't know who they are). Even if my university is low, I've heard of other colleges where the ratio is almost 50/50.
So you compare a highend server/workstation proc to a highend desktop proc. Sure the server chip will win the majority of the benchmarks.
Where are the 64bit benchmarks? They really didn't do any comparision to 32bit, so you can't say for sure if Intel implementation is good or not. Get the Opteron in there, do the same benchmarks in 32 and 64 modes and see if there is a difference. Also throw say 5 gigs of memory in the machines, that will see how each proc handles addressing above the 4gig limit.
2nd phone line: $20-$30/month Year subscription to aol: $20/month (if paid in one lump sum $25ish otherwise) Total: $40-$55/month connection slow (22.x-56k/s)
Cable Internet: $45/month (after entry rates) Total cost: $45/month (initial setup may cost about $100) speed: Great for home (on average 200-350k/s)
As more people need the internet in a home and as the number of computers increase in the same home, the cost of cable is much better than the cost of dialup.
They are going to sue
1. Ev1servers.com
2. Microsoft
just kidding. Google is probably on the list. Didn't SCO have a ceast and desist lawsuit until its proven?
Working for computer services for my university, we have recently dropped Ghost for Novell ZenWorks imaging. This is a linux based imaging software, that I think is fairly simple, if you don't mind typing. example:
For a image residing on a server that you want to bring down: img restorep server//server/path/to/image/file
The only issue that I have ran acrossed is that sometimes it will give the wrong error. I've received the error that it couldn't find the server, but it was a hard drive issue. I think though this is an easy imaging software, and if you are up for fun, its seems that you can edit some of the config files to automatically image stuff, but I'm not for certain.
I know in most states (if not all) it is illegal to have a tv infront of the drivers seat. Would this be something similar that you could get a ticket for having too much of a distraction infront of you? I think that is more of the question that how cool it seems to be.
All you need to do is sniff the network, wee what is going where. Lets see.... A zaurus with a wireless card with ethereal and nmap. It can't be too hard since there has to be some feedback for trouble shooting the device. It wouldn't be too hard to hack it if you knew what you were doing.
Qt gained increased support for Indic languages, and languages as diverse as Farsi and Frisian were added
Will Kilngon be on their next release?

"To boldly go where where no man has gone before."
I think that is enough. This guy must not be a trekkie fan.

What were some of the major obstacles that you expierence while organizing and during installfest?

Windows in EU won't have Built in virus detector? You mean users may have to use Norton, McAfe, or whatever else? Oh my.
Amongst other companies, AOL, and others have outsourced over to india for customer support. This includes "Live support" for problems.
A screwball should not put one of these together.
Stay away from porn and you don't have to worry about this way of spammers getting your email address.

But now it may be played with all adults. Great, I thought kids were bad.
