The proposal is being considered no doubt in response to fears like that of MPAA head Jack Valenti who has said that without proper security measures, the industry won't allow its movies to be broadcast because they don't want viewers to record 'perfect copies' of movies.
Keeps the honest people honest I guess (and/or it keeps the stupid people honest) as I don't think Im going to have any problem 'making perfect copies of movies'
they do this. They will have this out for about 20 minutes before someone figures out how to bypass it. Sure, some of the non savvy people will be restricted, but this is just another case of keeping the honest people honest. I think.
Finally a reason to pull my dreamcast from out of my closet! This sounds way cooler than any game I ever had for the thing.
The only problem I have is with the part about how if you brought it into a business they would think its just a game system. I would be immediately suspicious of anyone toting around a Dreamcast in this day and age. Maybe if they made this hack for a PS2, or better yet, for the XBox. Or the gamecube, Super Hack Brothers Melee...
cause I loved destroying the pepsi-golem on level 3. It gave me the mountain dew key which unlocked the doritos-door... you get the hidden points if you ride the camel past the marlboro to meet Benson by the Hedges. Unfortunately my Palm Pilot cannot defeat my Playstation2, though I still have to level-up my Gamecube, where it incubates as a Pokemon, then emerges as an x-box.
I agree the trading of personal data sucks, not sure I agree with the advertising statement, but
predatory buisness practices are not the norm. Name me 50 companies that have predatory buisness practices and I will name you 50,000 that dont. This is the norm? I agree those that dont play by the rules need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And you show me one person that says "moral" is a bad word and I can show you ~30 million. Buisness!=Evil, as much as some wish it was the case.
nice italics, however, I am used to the graphic changes. Spent hours in Civ3 lining up tanks amassed on the border. I still think that the overall gameplay in freeciv is better. The overall flow of the game seems nicer than civ3, where in the modern era, just build tanks.
Freeciv is a fantastic port of civ2, care to tell me what win->linux port has been better? After more hours than I will admit to, I still think freeciv beats the shorts out of civ3. I must admit that someone should make a freealphacenturi. While civ3 has some polished graphics, freeciv still has better gameplay. mkay.
Once again, I don't know where you are, but here in Minnesota, the community colleges are very good. I hear they are not as good out east. After attending both the UofM and some local community colleges, I have to give the nod to the community colleges. Smaller class size, more individualized help, etc. Of course the UofM doesn't necessarily represent other big colleges as the UofM has some big problems compared to to others.
but here in the US I would take a community college course or two, they are WAY cheaper than the 'real' universities. (and just as good in my opinion, all the learning with none of the liberalism)
okay... and any activity or publication that could threaten the "safety" of Russia.
Try writing a bunch of stuff that threatens the safety of the US... once again, bet if you really tried you could get an interview with some important types... there is no law against this in the US... I agree the US leads the world in free speech though...
I dont see how this is much different than any policies in America or W. Europe... Some of the things in there the US might not admit to doing, but if you tried hard enough Im sure you could get yourself a FBI/NSA interview...
apache bugs seem rather trivial, while most every M$ bug ends with 'which could allow malicious code to be executed' or 'which could allow unauthorized access' (I know thats not verbatim but I dont feel like looking it up.)
wow, the guy that said that is the same guy that grew the thymus? I would think he would know that death is a condition, a state of being, not a disease. Though I can see how he was trying to be humorous (I sure hope).

I would answer your asinine post, but you ARE an ac.
again: "nobody says moral is a bad word", not what I previously said in the parent...
too late now... I think my slip up was funny though...

When did this happen? I have only been getting 24 and I sure could use an extra hour to sleep in.
...he said what I meant but better...

I suppose I could go look it up, but I am lazy
What if a dutch judge ordered the same of a US site? Would it carry any weight? I know our(US) laws dont have much weight in southeast asia...
Im suprised they didn't call it wal-hat or wal-drake linux...

didn't have the guts to post with your real info, huh?

I would agree, except I dont think it would be difficult for the record company to get a high modded user quickly and then crapflood...
