IIRC, Wal-Mart actually sells "naked" PCs. Since Mandrake will doubtless get at least _some_ money for each installed copy, I'd think the naked PCs would be cheaper and thus would be the choice for what you describe. And the Wal-Mart customers who shop at the website are probably in the 3% you weren't talking about anyway!
To pick up where Pedersen left off, the cochlea is a fluid filled snail-shell shaped tube that is lined with small hairs. The hairs are hooked to nerve endings. The final bone in the three bone series causes the fluid to vibrate, moving the hairs, and the nerves pick that motion up. IIRC, the length of the hair and the diameter of the tube are used to differentiate frequencies. I'm not too sure on that last bit, however.
It irritates me to have a popcorn shell stuck to a tooth, so I certainly don't think I'd enjoy a phone that was glued there.
Also, given the fact that wireless providers will not accept phones from other networks, I don't think I'd want the "permanent" model of this phone either.
I think his point was that the punishment does not fir the crime. Yes, it is worse to mow someone down with a car, but it seems like you get in more trouble for hacking a computer. IIRC, there was a story not long ago about getting more jail time for killing a dog than a person by way of sentencing guidelines...
However, if you care to read any news on it, you can see that the reason to shutdown netcafes is for safety and license inspection, it has nothing to do with squeezing free of speech and human right. While it may be true that China Government has problems with human right, do you guys has to related all the bad things happened in China to human right and free speech?
Personally, I am of the opinion that the Chinese government set that very convenient fire itself, just to provide an excuse to seize control of the net cafes. Therefore I would say it relates to the free speech issue after all. Even worse, I am fairly certain our precious US government would do the same type of manipulation to justify their actions...
We must both be paranoid, because I've often wondered if the AV world is not secretly aiding the s'kiddies to drum up business. Then again, I also wonder how many viruses are written by Linux fans just to make MS look bad...
Maybe bnetd was invented so people with pirated copies of the game could play it without being hassled by the BattleNet servers?!
Maybe bnetd gives me functionality that Battle.net does not, like private ladder games? Who'd a thunk it.
Competition. We should get away from the one phone company/one cable company per community mentality. I don't CARE if there are 3 dozen lines on the utility pole, I DO CARE about my monthly rates. If AT&T were competing for the same area, I think that the pricing would be much better. Government regulation is never going to help the consumer.
I agree. In fact, I just said the same thing a couple posts up and 90 minutes too late. *sigh* It would have been a lot less cinematic though. Maybe Yoda is not as wise as we thought? There is also the counterpoint that moving them might have aggravated their injuries...
Funny, I would have had Yoda pull Obi-Wan and Anakin out of the beam's path. They are a LOT lighter than the beam, you know.
In fact, he could have done that without breaking off his fight with Dooku...
I felt the banter in the first trilogy was very important. Characters that only ever say or do things that "add to the story itself" are shallow, boring, and lifeless. The repartee between characters was a big part of what made the originals great, and it was a gaping void in Episode 1. If you pass through life and never say anything that does not contribute to your personal "storyline", then you are a boring S.O.B.:-) I do agree that Lucas is targeting younger viewers with SOME of the content in his newest episodes, though.
The ability to listen to ONE channel while you drive across the country is one of the BIGGEST selling points, not to mention the variety of stations you can receive, AND at better quality than FM/AM. Where I live, our dozen stations really suck. Pretty obvious stuff, really.
Especially when the Visiontek is $326 after shipping on pricewatch.com and you can get a PowerColor for $298 after shipping. $355 seems "pretty steep", not "dirt cheap", IMHO.
...and hello to bottled water. This is certainly what seems to be happening lately, doesn't it? I, personally, will abstain from any subscription based service. I think that someone will make a XM-like service that relies solely on advertising revenue. Yes, the initial investment is high, but look at the potential audience! Until then, though, it is public domain FM for me when I crave new mindless^H^H^H^H^H^H^Husic.
One other post I read on this topic was " like Jar Jar on Alderann for instance". I personally think that would be a good thing, as long as he was still there when they blew it up.
No, it is certainly not a troll. I guess we have all had dumb moves, but they have had a lot of them recently. It does seem that (barring the crash into Mars) we have gotten better in recent years. China will still need to go through that process...

Looks like I'll stick to the wearable phones.
Was that the one with the deranged distributed A.I. and the rampant sex change operations?
Never heard of it...
fir = fit , sorry
I hate ergonomic keyboards.

Errmmm.. The article was reposted from the NYT about a half page (two parents) up if you are reading at zero.
Depends on what you are immersed in. If you were playing a M$ game, you might get immersed in s**t.

ACK! I'm being killed by the letter "h"!!! Oh noooooooo... It _h_urts... How _h_orrible.
Heh.. Well, I can save him $57 right now then. :-) www.pricewatch.com

It seems more likely that we are trying to keep up with the Chinese, since they just revitalized their space program.
We need an X-Box for every classroom, Bill! :-)
Admittedly, there was more dialogue than in Episode 1, and I _do_ like AotC, but it isn't quite up to where the originals were.
