i think i will enjoy my extra hour of daylight for another 4 weeks a year. I don't give a shit about daylight in the morning, only the daylight remaining after I'm done with work. It's not about energy, its about maximizing useful daylight time for most of the population.
so we don't have the right to travel across the atlantic (if we haven't committed a crime and blah blah blah)? what are we supposed to do? take a fucking cruise ship? give me a break
mod parent down for being a dumbass,
Kinetic energy in the piezoelectric sense is physical compression on a macroscopic scale, for example piezoelectric materials can be used as ultrasonic transducers (translated: speakers that make high frequency sound waves). Thus, this is actual movement of the material to vibrate and create sound in my example.
Heat, is in fact a form of kinetic energy, but not the same type of kinetic energy. This kinetic energy is internal kinetic energy: that is, the movement of the internal molecules in the material.
As an example, if you throw put a block of ice in a spaceship, it will not gain heat by going however fast the spaceship goes, however its kinetic energy is increased a great deal. But since there's no internal increase in the kinetic energy of the individual particles the ice block gains no heat from being accelerated.
Keep your physics straight please
first the auburn tigers don't get to play for the national championship in college football, then 250 people lose their manufacturing jobs! its a bad week at the prettiest town in the plains.
I thought terrorism is:
The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.
Some dumbass shining his Class III laser at an airplane is not "intimidation of coercion of a society or government for political or ideological reason." 'nuff said.
yeah but instead of Call for Help and some of the other computer shows, we'll get to see "Invent This!" quite possibly the most shitty show ever. this show doesnt even relate to real technology and has such useful inventions as the show with a wheel on the back so it can be used like a roller skate and a very inventive dogpack that can also be used as a poncho for your puppy. it amazes me that the merged network has failed to cancel this worthless waste of valuable TV time!

If my friend whose 18 and in the army can drink, then I, 18 with my college id, should be able to drink too. My friend in the army is being productive for his society's safety, and I am being responsible for the future productivity of my society. We are both attempting to achieve the same end with different means; I see no real difference. (yes, my friend may be risking his life in the army, but he is stationed at Fort Campbell, safe and sound (and drunk off duty) in America)
anecdotal evidence is a poor form of argument, your experiences as a "poor" person do not justify your generalizing the fact that all poor people can pull themselves up out of poverty with no help. your case is rather extreme, most people would get discouraged and not continue their education after being rejected from a college 4 times. btw, the current conservative bush administration is spending more money and making more debt than any other administrtation in the history of the us. so much for "accountability," you preach about staying out of debt when the government you support is the champion of debt.
a video record of what you're shooting at... hmmm maybe this will be the advance in technology that can bring the gun rights people and the gun control people together. i think accountability is the most important thing; if you are responsible you can have a gun if you want. now only if bullets had these minicams in them so that you can see who shot the bullet when the shooter cant be found
telemarketing has taken a hit with "no call" lists. now (in the us at least) if you dont want to get called you wont, but spam isnt as easy to regulate as telemarketing. snail mail advertisements are common, but my mailbox isn't stuffed with junk mail like my email box is everyday. spam is a much more serious problem
if double jeopardy was in place in america and we had to go through another oj simpson trial, i think many of us would go insane. if the government can't get it right the first time, then why give them another shot?
or until the copyright on our favorite plumber runs out....oh wait the Supreme Court will just let the copyright run for a "limited" few centuries to protect Mickey Mouse and company
only problem is that mosquitos dont eat blood, the females use the blood to get protein for development of eggs, they actually eat nectar or some other shit that comes from a plant. and mosquitos dont need to bite humans, blood from most any warm-blooded animal will do.
more "shit like this" would probably get enforced if roads were privately owned. the owner could mandate what kind of cars could drive on the road, who could drive on the road, and how one could drive on the road. and these rules would probably be more strict than those in place on our government owned roadways since the government must follow the rules of the constitution(or supposedly they do:) but private citizens aren't forced to uphold the constitution. just imagine having to pay a toll to go to 7-11, hoping that RoadCorp wont revoke your driving privileges for having a broken tail light. bad shit. just because something is privately owned doesnt mean that it will be protecting "freedom." and competition that would promote this "freedom" would be limited since there is limited land to build roads on(at least within a city where most of traffic is) therefore large road monopolies would form(would Microroad be a good name for one of these companies?). -DavidJohnson
The problem with communism at this point in history is that not everything is automated. Unfortunately we dont live in a fantasy world where robots build our homes, analyze our psychological problems, analyze bodily ailments to determine what kind of disease a sick person has, cook our food, and provide sexual services to single males. Therefore, someone has to work to provide all these services. Sure, someone has to work to do these but can't the government assign people to these tasks? Sure, they can do that too, but then social stratification would occur because some jobs would be more respected than other jobs. But here's the kicker, even if robots are eventually designed to do every single job that the human race must have done, including complex tasks that we don't even know if computers will ever be able to do, would there be a point to life on earth? would utopia be found? i doubt it, computers and robots intelligent enough to analyze human situations (and build more of themselves for whatever purpose they saw fit, since no one would have a job to look after the robot behavior) would soon realize that they don't need the parasitic human race and would find a way to destroy us. maybe capitalism is a little less bleak.
terrestrial, adj. of or relating to land as distinct from air or water. so according to the title they are searching for any type of life that lives on land not just on earth's land, there is land on mars, and on some desolate rock in the middle of nowhere googles of light years away.
I've also seen my school system waste a fortune on the crappy imacs which cost close several hundred dollars more that what an equivalent pc(which would also have a floppy drive) would. The only thing the imac was designed to do was coerce the public into spending more money than what was really needed so the people could have a "pretty" computer, instead of much better power mac which can rival the pc.
if you are homeless, then where do you put your nice pentium computer? a computer is equal to a homeless man's lunch and i think a homeless person would rather eat than surf the internet.
smart Americans shop online to avoid the aforementioned state sales tax issue

Very true, deviant activity such as file-sharing is just like marijuana smoking, it supports terrorism.
