    When you encounter an error in Windows Event Viewer, there is a nice little link in the details window so you can look up this particular error on Microsoft's TechNet. Unfortunately, so far, with every error I have encountered on Windows 10, it just brings me to a technet page that says "Page Not Found". It seems that Microsoft doesn't even know the meanings of it's own error codes anymore.

    I guess they just forgot that when writing Windows 10....

  9. What really grinds my gears is when companies sell you a product that duplicates features that are already built into the Operating System. Why use GeekBuddy, when Windows already has Remote Assistance built right in, and is more secure.

    It boggles the mind!

    This is probably the reason why Google is doing this. They realize that more and more people are using ad blockers because of fake download buttons and malware serving ads. As an ad provider themselves, Google is doing this to help their bottom line. It will also help the bottom line of other advertisers, and also help to bring a little bit of trust back to the advertisers.

    Engineers don't have to design in obsolescence. It just comes naturally.

    Case in point: Have you ever designed any industrial/scientific equipment with a serial port on it? Where do you plug that into on a modern PC? ... They all have USB ports instead!

    Cell phones don't even have any moving parts, and under normal use, should not be subjected to physical stress. Also, at the time the poem was written, anyone could cut down a tree and fabricate wood replacement parts for a carriage. In today's world, the cell phone components were just not designed to be user replaceable.

    THANK YOU! I read the whole poem, and still had no idea why anyone would name a carriage a "One-Hoss Shay". I have no idea what a Hoss is, and I have no idea what a shay is. Of course, I have heard of Horse and Chaise. Crazy 18th century poets!

    On a typewriter, you can type a or e, and then backspace and then type an accent mark over the character you already typed. On a PC, it will REPLACE the character rather than just add it.
