Since it was the same temperature in 800AD doesn't that mean it could be natural? Personally I highly doubt it is a coincidence, but scientifically this statement proves nothing.

One thing is for sure, nothing will change until people are forced to do so, and that involves people dying, having no power for a very long time, etc. This is already going on in isolated places, but I'm talking about on a huge scale in the USA, which is a very long time from now.

A huge reason linux doesn't crash as much as windows is its users are far more knowledgable about computing. Another huge reason is not 1% of the malware that exists for windows is on linux, if linux had to endure all of what windows does it would be just as faulty if not moreso. I have used a windows 2000 server for webserver/filesharing/printing and it hasn't crashed once in the last 4 years, my average uptime between reboots for patches is probably 2-6 weeks i'm guessing. Once windows doesn't have to reboot for patches (maybe with vista) uptime will be just as good.

I have been in the beta since the beginning and I must say I am very unimpressed. I have played AC2, EQ2, WOW, and several other RPGs, this is by far the worst of them all, not because its really terrible in any aspect, it just isn't great in any either. When first playing I was seriously lost in an MMO for the first time, there are hardly any instructions, tutorials, and the dialog is very boring and uninspired, granted it is a beta.

I thought this game would be awesome as I absolutely loved AC2 and still hold it in high regard, the same team making a D&D game, now this can't miss, well it did. I don't know if its just the fact that I've been spoiled by WOW and EQ2, but this game seems like a step backward from AC2 even.

If you are thinking of taking your first plunge into the MMO world, I would highly suggest you do it with WOW instead of this game, as you will probably be lost. Pretty much every aspect of this game is sub-par when compared to EQ2 and WOW, graphics, gameplay, features, sound, music, quests, weapons, armor.

There are a few features and things that are very cool about it, like the way you move your character around, climbing ladders, hanging on to cliffs, etc. Also the games community will probably be better than any of the others, because only hardcore D&D fans will put up with all of the games shortcomings, so that could be a huge bonus.

"They will probably invest millions of dollars into this project, money that could be better spent on cutting the price of their products by $1-2"
is this a joke? fact: the studios already spend several MILLION on DRM research and have for several years. even spending 10s of millions isn't going to cut the price of a DVD by 1cent, do you have any idea of how much money is in the movie industry? BILLIONS, hell maybe even TRILLIONS.

They will probably charge the same if not more than a DVD price, much like music CDs as you mention. _If_ they were smart they would hire a 100k/year webguy and setup their own online shop in a matter of weeks, but hey this is the studio we are talking about here, they will use a service from some online store for megabucks, then have to pay royalties for MS DRM, and Intel on chip DRM, etc etc, passing the price onto us of course.
