You guys forget, the first x86 32 bit processor was available in 1985ish and the widespread use of 32bits on a desktop was not seen until 1995, and even then it was mostly 16 bit with the extra registers.
Yea I Just bought a LEN cd, you know "steal my sunshine" that is the only pop song on the cd, the rest of the cd is house techno/hip-hop, OR Rock. It is the oddest cd from one artist I have ever heard. But their house is kickin' way more kickin then "steal my sunshine"
Meanwhile, he noted record stores report that blank recordable CDs are outselling recorded CDs, a trend that shows computer users are not only downloading songs, but copying and burning CDs.
Uhh last time i checked i cant just go and buy a 50 pack of brittney spears for $19.99 USD. so hmmm, if everyone spent the same ammount they would have on ONE cd for 50 blanks, they would out sell CD's by 50:1.
well our 286 speaker was broke, so we had to play all games with no sound what-so-ever, i still remember playing wolfenstein (long afer it was old..) listening to the latest pearl jam CD (the one with the camel on the front) while killing hitler. it was quite entertianing.
Well on top of that 800Mhz is for "cell" technology. the Digital, CDMA, TDMA, and PCS are all in the 1Ghz+ range, I can no longer remember, I used to see cell ohones when digial was new. So maybe the awnser is to kill the old network, and offer free upgrades? to a digial phone to subsribers with an old brick for a phone.
you would be suprised, the thing is with the pollution updates needed, and everything else, most power plants themself have had to upgrade in mid 80's-early 90's now if the power grid is that big, do you really think that they rent lines to connect all of them together, or do you think that maybe they are using a vpn connection? or some other internet gate way. hey, it's been a while, but they have changed a lot since the 70's when they had the black out back then
well, you are a bit incorrect with that, I know at least in Ohio, that all electric companys MUST buy there power from the lowest bidder. if i can sell coal for a penny cheaper they have to go with it, that is why the people i know that use alternative power sources acctualy hook back to the electric company and get a check for the power that they made but didn't use
ohh i feel your pain, out companys only linux box, soley for the purpose of playing hold music died after 100 days of uninterrupted "your call is important to us..." it clung to the ups, then died, when i brought it back up the hard disk was dead:( (old system pII 300/w 4.3 gig drive)
Here is the kicker though, When i was a senior in high school, as an electricity student, we went to the bruce-mansfield coal power plant, in WV, (i graduated from a Ravenna,OH JVS) and at that point, the power grid consisted of western PA ohio and WV, and most of our generators were not even fired up, infact we were runningat 1/3rd capacity, now you are telling me in 3-4 years that we have had a 66% increase in power consumption, and don't give me crap about air conditioners and computers, look at the sales figures, we can't possibly be pulling that much more than 4 years ago.
That was on the Man show, i think that it may have been skewed, first, also, most woman are happy and confident in their intelligence. why make yourself more ugly for something that you don't really need.
there is , it is a little bid more difficult to use and you have to do some math, but get an ammeter they are these nifty looking things that have a big loop, and it measures amperage, the only thing is you will have to scrap a power cord to use it, so you can pull the bloack wire out of the cord sheatings and put it though the loop, it will give you an amp reading, multiply by 120v (if it is standard USA house voltage) and that will be your watts. Difficult, but effective
