Sorry that my post isn't as stylish as yours, but here's a question. If google scholar was better than the service, would an article claiming how great google scholar is have been written?
There is no real counter-balance to finding bias. Of course, if you want to take everything written as the article as truth just because they had a large revenue, go ahead.
Robbins Gentoo in April 2004 because it pretty much broke his ass. Not to mention who's to say that he won't be able to work on whatever open source project he pleases? From my experience with the Gentoo community, they probably wouldn't be up in arms if Robbins came back to do some work, I wouldn't be.
I don't really see the signal being detected even 10 light years away. When intensity goes as power over distance squared. At 10 light years, 10^6/(10^16)^2 spells mighty slim odds for our radio station ever being noticed.
Your average rock radio station doesn't have the advantage of being in space, where there is mostly just thermal background radiation to contend with.
The real reason that seti probably won't work is because even an isolated signal from the edge of the solar system isn't too likely to be detected by someone many lightyears away.
The bills go back and forth between the senate and the house a number of times with ammendments. The party line so common in the house is not as prevalent in the senate.
20C would be 293 kelvin above absolute zero. And choosing 20C as a reference point is perfectly valid, and much more telling than choosing absolute zero in this case.
The reason being that if 20C is the ambient temperature, then 20C is the absolute coldest we could expect to achieve using forced air cooling. If the chip is at 20C (zero on this scale) then the cooling is perfect.
Choosing absolute zero is appropriate at times of course, like when trying to figure out how much kinetic energy something has.
Sad that people have high standards? The basis for comparison is not just the tripe that came out this year, but also the other 100 odd years of movies.
I don't think your list really contains enough films of episode 3's 'kind' to make a good comparison.
The STIX Fonts have been designed to work with all web browsers, word processors, and other scholarly communications software, as well as all general purpose software.
The Fonts are based on the Unicode(TM) standard for character representation. By expressing all characters with their Unicode value, programs that you use will select the correct glyph for representation.
A character is a unique letter or symbol that is defined by its Unicode value.
Not all Unicode values are included in the STIX Fonts, but there is extensive coverage of Latin alphabets, Greek, and Cyrillic.
So based on the sound of it, this will work in different languages using unicode.
Who modded this flamebait? This entire article is flamebait, I for one don't care that some guy that I've never heard of from some company I've never heard of was awarded a contract from microsoft for xbox 2.
Care to elaborate, because you certainly haven't clarified anything.

Robbins has long stopped contributing to Gentoo, since April 04.

Thanks for the cookie.

I'm probably going to buy a Revolution too.
Voyager I & II send a coherent signal that's free of noise from earch, for example.
So the court said it has nothing to do with property. Further assurance that virtual property isn't property.

Canada also has a senate through which laws-to-be must pass.
I knew what you were talking about just from the title. Thanks for the link to the post mortem, good read. Can't wait for We Love Katamari.

Oh my god you're right! Apache is /more/ popular than IIS! How could a joke on slashdot not actually be true?
I responded to the question "I wonder which legal framework is that?"
This is Cuba's legal framework. Democracy is not an essential part of a legal framework.
Castro is the President, not a dictator. Cuba has a parliament, and *gasp*, a constitution.
So based on the sound of it, this will work in different languages using unicode.
There's plenty of reasons they might not include a hard driv. Cost, higher sales on sony memory, anti-piracy concerns. I'm sure there's more.

How does dodgeball, which relies on a cellphone, without gps help finding where you are? How does dodgeball work on a cellphone without reception?
Wouldn't just having cellphones have been sufficient? It's not like this dodgeball thing would have helped if you couldn't call him anyways.
I've always seen it as Waldo in canada.
This article is less informative and insightful than the comments on slashdot regarding the announcements of pay for play content.
So, he wasn't lying, he was missing a detail. You can play the game in offline mode, there is no disputing that.
