  2. Re:Speak Up, People! on Battlestar Galactica Season 2 This Summer · · Score: 1

the plotholes ive noticed, that no one else seems to talk about is:
in the pilot, the doctor said he created a test to find out who are cylons from hair samples and caught the tour guide guy and put him in jail. so as far as everyone knew he had a working cylon detector. an episode or two in they get him to... make a cylon detector.. what happened to the working one earlier? did everyone forget about it?
second plothole also concerning this is when he did create a new detector, whats her name that is a cylon volunteered to test it and was sitting down waiting for the results, and asked how long it would take. the results popped up on the computer within MINUTES. then on later episodes that same test supposedly took 11 hours i think it was for results to come back. HELLO? can we get a little bit of continuity with the story please?

    b) Control. As I mentioned before, television is entirely passive, and you're limited to viewing the broadcaster's programming on the broadcaster's schedule. On the Internet, you can view whatever you want, whenever you want, and there are a nigh-unlimited number of "channels" available to suit whatever taste you're looking for.

dont you think maybe this is a good reason to get the news elsewhere as well? dont you think the 4 or 5 megacorporations that own the media maybe perhaps slant the news a certain way?

before you mod me down, im not saying bush=hitler, but the same systems of propaganda are happening and are working just as they did then. the major media is also going along with it all as well. sure theres the odd stories of this and that but none of the hard questions are being asked, about "the war on terror" or 9/11. i guess thats why alternative internet news sites are getting so popular. the thinking half of the population is sick of this shit.

These days, it's not the Iraqi government that's kidnapping, torturing, and murdering people, but a group of loosely-affiliated amateurs. I haven't seen any figures on how Al Queda's numbers compare to Saddam's, but I'm pretty sure they're doing much less volume.

I think youve read and believed a bit too much propaganda. do you honestly think saddam had this ongoing killing of people every day or something? he isnt mad or a madman. he was corrupt and all that but he wasnt the monster the propaganda media and government tried to make him out to be. and if youre talking about killing and torture in iraq, theres a HUGE monopoly on that by the us military. they are killing thousands of innocents. but you never hear about that do ya.
