I just bought Star Wars here in the states. First DVD purchase here and I got the full screen version thinking it meant a wider aspect ratio then the 16:9 widescreen one. I was like WTF a 4:3 aspect ratio DVD, how backwards is this? Being in Europe the last 4 years and NZ the rest of my life this idea seemed so foreign to me.
My biggest problem is rugby the only provider for that in the states is direct TV. So I figured I may as well get my HDTV thru them too. If I could find another way to download the rugby that is at least SD quality over the internet cheaply or free. I think would ditch pay tv here in the states all together.
I don't understand this logic that computer time is equal to my time. I could Earn a computer in less than 2 days of work time and then have it constantly downloading multiple movies at a time, costing no more then my internet bill and the electricity. Of course now that I am Earning ok-good money I purchase all my movies. I used to pirate heaps of movies back in my school days.
My Comcast box was default to 1080i, which worked nicely on the HD content but the scaling on SD content looked horrible. I found that same menu you did and made the 4:3 override always scale to 480p and I see huge difference in the quality of SD TV. Since HD TV seems always to be broadcast in 16:9 this seems to work well.
Yes he could buy the heroine he would just have to go to the UK to get it. As under US law it not be allowed to be imported. With a Gambling site you aren't importing anything the browser is GETting it.
Given you don't know what is available or how much it costs that seems a bit foolish. I mean if I could have access to a very large selection of HD quality movies for $5 a month I would jump at the chance as that would way cheaper then any other form of renting. I am guessing this is looking to compete with netflix so it will probably be about 15-20 a month. Therefore for people who have a windows PC hooked up to their TV this would make sense as it would more convenient then netflix or blockbusters thing and of course HD quality would be possible.
Only if you want to watch HDTV content from a blue-ray disc or a HD-DVD disc at full resolution. Although I have a feeling there would be a software that will make this happen with video card and monitors that don't have HDCP support.
If You seriously want an old camera you should get a camera phone, hell you better be quick though I seem to recall hearing that some company has realised a 5 megapixel one.
Personally, I always loved a well-done video pinball game. My second favorite was the Epic Pinball series for the PC. My favorite was some series that was originally done on Amiga and then ported to PC... I think it was called Pinball Madness or Pinball Chaos or something. Anyway, it was just a hair better than Epic Pinball IMHO.
I would take a guess that you mean Pinball Fantasies or Pinball dreams
Live sports is the only reason to pay for cable/sat TV IMO, if you are a sports fan it is a must. Watching a sport once the result has being broadcast on TV or you over hear someone say the result is simply not an option.
Saying thing I personally enjoy watching the occasional Rugby and Soccer matches on TV but am not prepared to pay the amounts that sky want for this service.
In NZ they will be rubbing their hands together. 1st the tourist advert that was Lord of Rings came out and now this.
Here in the UK I told some of my mates that my wife and I will be moving to the US, none of them seem interested in visiting at all. I get comments like pity you wont be in Canada etc. Here it seems with the exception of Florida and the amusment parks that US is not the place to visit.
Actually the US have several Islands in the the South Pacfic Ocean that are very close the Equator. I am not sure how large or how suitible they are for a Space launch program but the US certainly has access to Islands in very close range to the Equator.
You will notice that the European price includes VAT or sales Tax which can run at 20% in some coutries . Plus currency rates do change and the company has hedge their bets.
I actually started Watching SG-1 on TV but found the programming time to be absolutely awful and ended up missing episodes due to begin outside and doing things. So I noticed that you can D/L the episodes I did this and got really hooked on the show since I could watch it when I want and without ads. Since this I have purchased the first two DVD box sets.
Don't even get me started how the BBC moved the Farscape schedule all over the shop.grrrr
Yes but now because of the Internet the rest of the world will soon after it being aired in the states will be able to D/L them. This really highlights the need for more international release dates.
SG-1 is strange one. It starts in the states 1st but they have a mid season break. In this time the airing on SKY in the UK catches and passes the US schedule.
Well I have an Athlon 1800XP , 768 meg ram with Geforce ti4200 64meg and it just runs. It slows down every now and then mainly when bad guys are firing machine guns at me. But still passes as been playable but certainly not the best experience to be had. This is all with the Low detail settings at 640*480. A friend of mine has a P4 2.5ghz with a ti4600 128 meg video card and his seems to run the game much better than my rig
The great thing about this device is it opens up 3rd party controllers made for the PSX to the PC market. I seem to remember that Namco made an arcade stick with arcade style buttons for the PSX, perfect for Street Fighter 2 and other arcade classics.
Sounds like you have read nothing about the game before it came out. Carmack said something to the effect that it would mostly be set in an inside environment from at least 2001.
I personally not sure sure what people expected of this game. It looks good and plays quite well to be me. Sure it isn'r the be all and end as Doom was when it came out. But that is like comparing any modern English band to the beatles.
you plug the ipod into the usb port and it can play the mp3s on said ipod. It can't plat files purchased on itunes tho.

So move all development to India, which would seem to be the conclusion of your post. That would make the bottom line better for all quarters.

Although this doesn;t prove a global trend it is what you asked for. http://www.iceagenow.com/Growing_Glaciers.htm
It could be so that points can be sold for different amounts, depending on the market they are being sold in.

It is about the closest thing i have played on a PC.. I haven't played on anything newer than 98 tho. http://www.3drealms.com/balls/

No that is sick. :P
Ford Focus is a big seller in Europe. In fact the last 3 years it has been the top selling car in the UK. The Ford Focus was designed in Europe.
That and a Focus competes more with a Corolla or Civic.
