Pardon me for asking a semi-silly question. Where exactly are these sound files used? It looks like it'd be either in the WMP help system or the XP tours. I did a quick check, but I didn't hear anything that sounds like this stuff...
I'm surprised no company has come out with a USB based IR receiver that can be taught so you can control all your apps with it.
As someone else mentioned, keyspan makes some remotes that work well. It looks like the express remote replaced their digital media remote, which has been out for years. The software is totally customizable and allows it to recognize the signals from a JVC VCR remote, which most universal remotes have no problem sending. I've had mine set up to control BSPlayer and iTunes and a few others on my little shuttle box for a few years now. Of course, the capacitors finally oozed over on the box, so now it's dead till I either replace them, or replace the machine...
First, Moore's Law has nothing to do with hard drive storage space. That said, hard drive capacities have been growing at a pace exceeding Moore's Law for several years now.
Ummmm, anyone care to explain this to me? My head hurts thinking about it...
The Blue Screen of Death doesn't exist in Windows XP.
It sure does! You have to uncheck the "disable BSOD" checkbox (aka the "automatically restart" system failure property dealie). But sure enough, it can BSOD. Of course, it's almost always due to faulty hardware when it does, but it still can do it.
You're slightly off because you are discussing a show intended for children.
I always wondered if Pete and Pete was truly meant for kids. I mean, the mother had a steel plate in her head, which even got it's own credit during the openings. Seems a little demented to me...
This reminds me of something I saw someone say on the news a few years ago. It was when the labels began making a stink about filesharing (2001-2002ish). Some guy they were interviewing posed the question "Why should I spend 18 dollars to get the soundtrack to a movie, when I can buy the DVD of the movie itself for 15?"
the real problem lies in the fact that spammers have an incentive to send spam. if nobody would buy penis enlargement pills, accept online mortgages, and order medicine online, we wouldn't have this problem.
Alright, I guess it's time i fessed up. I apologize for buying everything that I find in my inbox. OTOH, I now have a 14" penis, am buying my 9th home, and keep getting these packages in the mail filled with wonderful little pills...
Nope...Double, or better yet, quadruple rot13 are the greatest...
They're just waiting for one of us to say something nasty about them, so they can sue for cyberlibel...
I'm getting used to putting DVD quality film on 20 cent CDR's.
Funny...I'm getting used to putting my full DVD backups (via dvdshrink) onto 20 cent DVD-Rs...Oh yeah, and the burner only cost me 10 bucks, too...

Anything else that fosters imaginative thinking: PlayDoh, Etch-a-sketch, and the like.
I'm giving my kid access to mspaint.exe for christmas this year...

same thing i was thinking...how many of these people buying it on ebay are actually gonna have it in their hands before the release date?
Wow! If only Sears had filed a patent for that...

Let's not forget another 100-200 bucks or so for the mobo to accomodate the two gfx cards...
"Where the fuck did all these toasters come from?"
I bought a new 3x3x3 a few weeks ago, and my new Rubik's Revenge (4x4x4 came last Friday).
Ay, shuddup! I'm still working on the 1x1x1...

At the moment there are too many noises when searching for real sex-related sites, most of them are full of pop-up and nothing useful
I don't know if i'd consider a pop-up "nothing useful" when talking about porn...
What exactly do you want us to imagine?
Umm...nah, better not...
...perhaphs you'll be able to search the surface of the earth for things in the future through google.
Oooooh! Y'mean like "where will I be at 10:45am tomorrow"???
Curious that a device that is entirely black comes with a pair of white earbuds, innit?
