IIRC, Virgin Records isn't even owned by the Virgin Group anymore. They sold it off a while ago. And then when they wanted another record company, V2 was born...
It's amazing how it contrasts with the Playstation store next door to it which actually does a pretty good job.
Are you talking about the Playstation store where games that have a MSRP of $49.99 usually sell for between $55 and $60? In fact, everything in the place was a few bucks more than suggested retail (memory cards, controllers, bags, etc). It's 7 hours long for a reason -- they're simply scrolling the text of everything that's ever appeared on a BBS (think the intro to Star Wars, except with stuff from BBSland).
Sheesh, with the way things are going down there you'd think that they were the descendents of a bunch of convicts who are embarassed by the past or something...
More than a third of the 493 PC users surveyed...said they had a greater chance of winning the lottery or being struck by lightning than of being hit by malicious code.
It should be noted that these people are probably thinking of being "hit" in the physical sense of the word...
I'm not cool enough to have a thumb drive. I think I might have a broken USB dongle somewhere though. Would that make me cool? Or would I be better off wearing a parallel port dongle around my neck instead?
The only problem with this is that you notify the server what song you want played by what instruments, then the song is specially recorded and engineered to your specifications. Only after this goes on for a week or so can you actually download the tune to listen to it.
IIRC, Ico was originally slated to be a PS1 game. It eventually got pushed back and fancied up to be an early PS2 title. Any chance the same thing will happen here? Tell everyone that it'll be a PS2 game, but then delay it, gussy it up and make it a PS3 launch title.
What are developers going to do ? Randomly decrease the screen brightness or turn off the screen for a couple seconds at a time ?
I hear the Doom3 port will be able to run for 12 hours on this thing... : p

Do we really want to contact potentially many races that would regard us with at least the contempt, as a species, that we regard "lower life forms?"

Thanks for posting that! Whew, I sure am glad I managed to get that patch installed before anyone was able to take over my system...
Is this sarcasm?
Of course not...Hence the informative moderation...
