They should be able to put their music everywhere and anywhere - isn't that why they signed on with a label in the first place?
No, they signed with Sony so their music could go anywhere and everywhere Sony decides it should go. If they wanted to retain that right, they shouldn't have signed with them. I'm always amazed that so many people can't seem to make this connection.
I don't think "$300 / seat for something proprietary" really matters that much. Even if they re-bought that license every single year, it is less than $1/day to match whatever they are paying the butt that sits in the seat.
Well, remember that we're talking about their ~40,000 machine clusters here. So even at $1/day per machine, you're talking $40,000 a day. Try telling us again that that's not a substantial amount.
Wow! Thanks for clearing that up. I never realized that Tetris was such a deeply veiled chronicle of the struggles of the typical Russian citizen. I mean, obviously the Red symbolizes Soviet oppression, while, as you say, the yellow cohorts are their Chinese counterparts. It all puts such an interesting historic spin on what I always thought were just a bunch of falling blocks...
Yeah, I like it when I'm out in the woods and see no evidence of humans anywhere. Just the piles of trash, that old beatup Ford, and the neon glow of the Motel 6 just over the ridge...
Hint: not seeing humans is not the same as not seeing evidence of humans...
This seems to be the one area that inkjets do excel at -- color-accurate imaging and proofing. Of course, if you're serious about this you'll pick up a good quality printer (~ $300+), and not some $75 onsale crap. Throw in a colorimeter and a continuous ink system and you've got yourself a nice little setup. As for how well the color holds on the prints, I think that's still somewhat debatable...
And then you can pay an assload for repairs and get a nice stern talking to from the repair guy about how you should never ever ever put the wrong color toner in the wrong bin...And no, I've never done that. Why do you ask?
The advice that everyone else is giving is better than what I could give. But the important thing to note is that there wasn't actually a break in at all, so no crime has been committed. This is akin to someone coming around and giving your doorknob a good jiggling. Not exactly pleasant, but thankfully they didn't get in...
Pacman had speed runners.
What's the fastest that anyone has ever completed Pacman?

You do realize that many portable players out there work fine with iTunes, right?
I wonder what percentage of that is video minors are allowed to see?
Not all of it is blackened coal chutes...
We've built from scratch a brand...
Yes, it's amazing how you can build a brand from scratch when all you have to work with is an essentially unlimited marketing budget...

"Dammit, I knew we should've loaded it with falafel instead."
Hell, even Mitnick showed that the front door is usually easier to get through than the back door.
Seeing as how he's spent time in federal prison, I'm just gonna hafta take his word for it... : p
So is this guy's evil alter ego known as Kid Sarin?
This just goes to show that it isn't only old people who die in Korea...

Which would make this not a podcast. It would make it an "audio recording".
Well, I got this funny feeling that this whole "audio recording" thing is gonna take off like gangbusters...
Mine uses Cage's 4:33 as it's startup sound.

Pick up a GameBoy Player and the games on ebay. Total should run you about 35-40 bucks. Worth it for two great games.
Am I the only one longing for the olden days of 3rd-person, sidescrolling Metroids?
Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission. Nuff said...
I wonder where the shmuck my company hired to do our website fits in there. We don't even get to pick a single one of those three...
But it's sold by Nintendo of America...I mean, how much more American can you get?
Which is why everyone everywhere should agree that the correct spelling is gubmint.
IE7 beta requires online activation.
I sure hope they provide a telephone activation option for this when they ship it.

A secure Microsoft machine? Now I've seen it all...
Interesting. That post mimics exactly my experiences with the game. I played it for about 3 days then stopped.
