im still using my 5gig 1st gen that ive had since a month after release and it is amazing still. The only time the size is an issue is when i use it in firewire disk mode. i even think that its better smaller. it makes me choose my playlists for it more carefully. its noit like i need the entirity of my library on it at any given time. in fact i usually leave about a gig open, JIC theres a file i need to throw on it.
what i really want is an uber-cheap uber-small 3-5gig model, id be in hog heaven.
and to be on topic, the interface is the best part of the ipod, it is the essence of good design. the second you put the ipod in your hand you know how to use it.
ah, like Duke Nukem Manhatten Project. THe game came with my new grafx card and appears to be the quake 3 engine made into a sidescroller... but with all duke's badassery. i wish more games like this would come out. thje only other one that comes to mind is Super Smash Bros.

not to burst your bubble, but anyone looking to see LC naked has already searched and found stuff on kazaa. try it, its not horrible, i think whoever the girl is is better looking than angelina jolee, who to me is jsut 'that girl' from hackers.
I am very discouraged that i have to buy a game and THEN pay to use it. Its like selling someone a computer but then saying "Oh, yea, forgot to tell you, it takes quarters to turn it on, sorry pal."
but then again i dont think EA have made a game worth buying for a LONG time, at least back to the Genesis.
What will it be running on is a good question. Will it be on an ATI or a Nvidia? Intel or AMD? What they choose will steer alot of purchases in the next few months as it will be iD's 'official' prefered platform.
This also leads me to believe that the game might launch earlier than reports have said. If Carmack is willing to let kids play it in a sanctioned event, it must be near ready to ship. Could this mean that they will also be releasing a demo at the event? Perhaps only to attendees?
um... iTunes allows you to burn your files to CD, all, even 'officially' downloaded ones. so jsut buy, burn and delete. if you want it back DRM free, rip it to MP3, you can do that through iTunes quite easily.
He should think of it as good product exposure. Now that theyve sampled unrestricted versions of his software theyll be more likely to purchase it.
as a side note id like to thank Alias for releasing free versions of their high end software, allowing people to learn it without having to warez it, cause we certainly couldnt afford it. Its great marketing, almost like drug dealers. Get me hooked on their software for personal use, then charge me when i need to use it professionally.
I second the motion. Get out on the red rocks and enjoy the view. And if i remember correctly there were a bunch of 'alien' shops in town, about sightings and ufos and autopsies and stuff. just remember to bring water.
Id also reccomend teh grand canyon while your in the area. just not the touristy parts, theres some great out of teh way sopts to view it if you do some research.

there was going to be a Mac version, like Jobs demonstrated on the G4 Cube. I suppose that well have to wait another few years for that one i assume? Although by then ill have my G5 so no worries playing it on my G4 400.

But in all seriousness, i think the future of the 'net' is going to be something like Tad Williams's "Otherworld". The quality of your experience will be limited by your hardware, and sprouting 'netboys' will lose all contact with whats real. The future will be good, except for the bad parts OC!
apple does not have Catia, IDEAS, UG or any 'real' CAD program. It sucks yes, but it would make things very interresting if apple did have pro level CAD shit.

1. Inconsistant form factor. This is bad for storage and portability. CF are small and stackable.
and 2. I already have several old CF cards of various sizes.
but maybe ill get one of those just to play with.
