yea, i hear the aluminum poles that can walk and track crowd movements are pretty expensive. Esp the ones that can explain the product that their advertising, or hand out free samples.
this is not to say that aluminum hasnt come very far lately, i even hear its transparent now!

what we need is a smash tv mod for Quake / HL / Unreal. same top view camera, same gameplay, same everything that made the original a classic, just updated with a new graphics engine.
i hate it when companies ruin classic games by changing the fundamentals of what made them work, this is especially evident in 2d - 3d 'transitions'. certain games were just better suited to 2d, like platformers. a big part of mario died when it went to 3d. but zelda on the otherhand was enhanced (since it was really a 2.5d all along).
im awaiting the return of classic game styles. a rebirth of side scrollers and 2d. maybe itll come to pass, but who knows?
my grandfather was using a 21inch sun at 800 * 600! only because he didnt know he could change it, its what his old moniter ran at (17in i believe). i showed him how to set it and he rus at 1280 * 1024! although when i first did it he was mad that i made every thing 'smaller' then i informed him that they were the same size in pixels, he just had more pixels to play with.
radeon 9600pro or fx5600? both around $150, both have good performance, but which is the better card? im not spending more than $170 on a new card, what should i get?
yea its no wonder they all use 64bit stations already. just looking arround teh engineering office here i see, SGI, SUN and IBMs. all 64bit, all running serious CAD software CATIA and IDEAS i believe. maybe this is where apple can take off, by taking existing 64bit programs and making them run on their hardware, which is a fraction of the cost.
the time has come for apple to step up and move forward with corporations. all they need are a few specific programs.
if the GT series stops being real and adopts a 'high speed persuit' storyline ill never buy one again. to me no racing game has matched gt3, NONE, it is the benchmark that all racing games are held to. and if you think graphics have anything to do with making a good racing game, you are an idiot (or an xbox fanboy). all other racing games suck because they are not so purely about racing as gt3.
now dont get me wrong, i love arcade racers, and spent many an hour on MSR and Le Mans and mario kart, and loved them. but they are not in hte same class, GT3 stands alone... unfortunately.
if you dont vote then get the fuck out of the country. if you dont believe in the system get the fuck out of the country. maybe if people like you start leaving (canadas close) people will notice. you do have the right to protest.
OR you can find your voice in the system and use it. start a lobbiest group, join a protest, write a letter, vote in elections other than the presidential one. run for city council, become a union leader, join the ACLU.
apples already use AMD chips, just not for the CPU. so of course theyre talking to them, its how you build a system. id only imaging what it would turn out like if they did it all telepathicly.
but seriously, you must be a real NOOB to think that Apple would switch away from PPC, either that your one of teh ones that wants OSX on x86, ugg. if anything theyll launch a Power4 based Xserve, but even that is highly unlikely.
wtf! i thought KDE looked like shit for a minute. i even wiped my glasses to make sure i was seeing correctly. and yep after doing the Xeasyconf and startx i was greeted by entering the TWM environment. how the FSCK do i get into KDE from here? please someone help. did i do something wrong? i followed all the directions. and theres not 'ls' so i cant even navagate the filestructure.
