Arrrgghhh...:-) I once had a a really low UID, but I somehow lost the password and didn't have the same email anymore and I just created this new one. Wonder if I still can recover the old account?
I like the idea of iphone and it's interface and what it's supposed to do. However, because it's from Apple it will be a rocky ride and not an easy product to use or operate on world level. I live in USA and travel frequently to other countries.
Since it's from Apple, the product will be ridden by lock downs, law suites, harassment of people who create addons etc. Just like every other Apple product and which is why I have always stayed clear of Apple.
Attach the device the police officers wifes car and watch him have to explain to his wife why there is a tracking device on her car that reports back to her husbands cellphone!:)
One word to describe the whole mail-in rebate system: FRAUD!
Which probably explains why the rest of the 1st world don't have anything like it. It would not even be legal where I come from. All rebates to be given, has to be included in the price displayed and payed in the store. This is nothing but a cheap way for spammers to buy verified mailing addresses and phone numbers. If they want to give you a rebate, take it off the price and give everyone the same rebate without additional work.
Yeah and after over a decade living here in the US, I have found 2 real issues with American cars:
1. Americans wants big cars.
2. American cars suck donkey balls, both in the area of power and fuel consumption. And not to mention the engineering is crap.
I started using it around kernel version 0.9 something, I even did some programming on the kernel and I have used Linux on at least one of my desktops since 1995, both for work and for hobby.
The first distro I actually tried (other than bootstrapping systems myself) was a Slackware found in a computer magazine.
Why? Because it ultimately hurts the people and the people are paramount. In USA , corporations are paramount. People are just a nuisance and should not interfere with corporations ability to reap profits.
In USA, people fear the government, in EU, the government fear the people.
This was (is) coverage in relatively densely populated areas in Florida and up along the Eastern coast. And I came from a not so very densely populated Northern European country.
When I moved to USA a decade ago and wanted a cell phone, I was shocked, really really shocked!
Why?
- Expensive phones
- Crappy connections
- Roaming that sucked!
- International calls costing an arm and a leg and 2 newborn babies per minute!
- Phone plans that sucked you dry! (pay for incoming call, set minute plans and other crap. I was used to paying a small monthly fee and then cheap fees for minutes used, billed at the end of the month. Here I had to pay up front and figure out how many minutes I would use the next month and then losing the minute I didn't use)
It has become a bit better, but you still are bent over the barrel and ass raped each month and all you do, is to say "Thank you!, One more time, please!"
The first word that came to mind was "Zampolit"... Or "Political Officer", a position heavily used in the old SovietUnion and which now seems to have found a new home in USA.
USA is... I don't know what anymore.. a 3rd world society with a 1st world economy/military..

Just like every other Apple product, this one is an insult to consumers.

Who cares what people look like?
I didn't come here to judge peoples comments based on their looks, but on the content itself! For all I care you can be purple with pink polkadots!

Well, I have used Linux on the Desktop since 1995, so for me it is 12 years of Linux on the Desktop.
It's plastic is crap and it's not even worth the price. Did you see the crappy engineering?

And that is exactly what is illegal in EU.
