    Because it will be a free service, and include such a HUGE amount of Data, I think it's safe to assume that the compression quality will be less than stellar.
    Having just paid >$80 CDN for the Blue Planet DVD set, I still feel that it is money well spent. The quality will be vastly superior to whatever is available online.
    On that note, I'm still all about giving money to the BBC.

    If you've used MSN 4.6 or earlier lately, you'll notice that you don't get Advertisements anymore. Instead, you've gotten an email from Microsoft advising you, that you MUST upgrade, or you will be cut off from MSN messenger.

    My preference is to simply stop using the software when they cut me off.

    You should try watching the Superbowl in Canada.

    All of the multi-million dollar commercials are replaced by local retailers and companies, because the cable provider has changed the commercials.

    Occasionally, even the billboards on the stadium walls are changed to retailers of a Canadian nature.

    That's like saying they shouldn't publish shop manuals for cars, because people might use them to install illegal nitrous kits, etc...
    If I bought something, it's mine to do with what i like. If i void my warranty, that's my buisness.
    It's when Microsoft starts claiming that you are actually RENTING/Licencing your Xbox from them, that they can claim rights to the hardware.

    I hear more complaints about people who were clearly safe being called out, than I hear about shrinking strike zones.
    I think sensors should be places in the plates, balls, shoes and gloves. Then you can digitally determine wether the runner tagged the base first, or was tagged by the ball first. Far more accurate than umpires.

    Back in my Driver training years ago, I remember my instructor having his own break pedal, in the case of emergeny.
    Every time he touched the thing, i wanted to hit him. If he thought for even a second that I was going to fast, he'd apply the break. Then when I would reach for it, it wouldn't be there (it would be slightly depressed) and I'd panic.
