The "specs" on the desktop are false claims made by a con-man. The parent of you're post was making a joke about the scammer having slow erections and making very little noise while banging the woman he was married to at the time.
Among those honored with plaques were Kinoton GmbH for its high-speed studio projector; a team from Eastman Kodak Co. for developing an anti-static layer on film that survives processing; Stephen Regelous for developing Massive, the software used to create tens of thousands of warriors for the "Lord of the Rings" battle sequences; and a group of companies for their work in digital audio editing.
that there are no 64bit x86 games (or big apps like Oracle) on the market for Windows, because *suprise* XP/server 2003 are still in beta. That won't prevent customers from stuffing more than 4gb of ram into their 64bit x86 systems, though. Oracle for for OS X could be finalized by the time Microsoft gets around to releasing 64bit XP. Or the next Halo patch, for that matter.
MP3's are frowned upon by certain "people". In fact, these "people" have setup a web site for consumers who are "confused" about file sharing. They even have a message board, which I strongly encourage you to post there about your opinion of the RIAA. This was orignally mentioned in orthogonal's journal.
If you're dead-set on saving money on ram for your G5 (saving money on G5 . . haha), you can either go with Crucial (512mb stick for $92) or with 3rd party ram. Or if you're looking for ram for one of the current PowerBooks, 512mb stick for the 15" 1.25ghz pBook costs $126 from Crucial. So you could max a new pBook to 1gb for $252 - room for a decen ramdisk.
Before peer to peer, the content owner's couldn't estimate for sure the amount of offline piracy. And they still can't, because the only surveys they get are from online piracy. In fact, the RIAA didn't begin their Great Crusade against their customers until Napster came along. Out of sight, out of mind.
Fallout 1 Fallout 2 Quake 3 Arena (for Xtreme Arena mod, among others) Soldier of Fortune II Baldurs Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn Baldurs Gate 2 - Throne Of Bhaal Civlization III Halo No One Lives Forever 2 Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield
Or maybe he has the "login with this link" bookmarked. Y'now, the one that logs you in and is totally insecure? When I try adding a link to Slashdot.org in Firebird, it wants to name it "Slashdot: News for nerds, stuff that matters". So he obviously edited the bookmark to some extent.
A real point would be for the educational experience. Seriously - the developer(s) have to do reverse engineering, firmware hacking, hardware hacking, and of course programming. Or maybe because they enjoy it.
Reasons to use Telnet over SSH: 1) Lower CPU ulitilization 2) Lower Memory usage 3) Convenience 4) It's currently not being used as a Public web server.
I know it's a good idea to upgrade blade servers, but from an Enterprise perspective, you don't want to be changing chasis. Not only will it void the manufacturer's warrenty, you will face an increase in the pricing of your Support Contract.
Is Florida any better? Supposedly there's half a dozen spammers in one Florida county alone. And MATRIX is being hosted there, which means that state is prolly enrolled in MATRIX also.
Thanks for talking out of your ass, AC. I didn't state that "all CStrike players are bratty teens who don't understand what teamplay is", or that "all teens on CStrike are cheaters". I just said that playing with the certain % of spoiled brats who like to solo ruins the game. So next time you jump to conclusions, and call me a racist, think and start talking with your mouth and not your ass.
Putting all the teenagers who think soloing is gameplay on the same team for CounterStrike is a good thing. I think I played CStrike for about a month back in 2001, then I got fed up with all the teens and cheaters online.
It's hard to call one CPU proprietary, when they're all commercially devloped. And as far as "proprietary" motherboards, Apple boards use OpenFirmware, which is an actual standard, unlike the up-and-coming DRM-laden BIOSes for PC motherboards.
As I said in another post, how is Apple's current lineup of hardware proprietary? They use off-the-shelf standards such as DDR, SATA, USB, Firewire, 1000BT Ethernet, etc. The main difference I see between my nForce2 system and a PowerMac is the motherboard and CPU. As far as Windows being less proprietary than OS X, I'll leave it to you to explain how Windows is less proprietary.
It has great documentation and with NoScript I feel safe everywhere on the Internets.
you'll see that it's the first hybrid to be produced in the PRC.

Or pages on the Mating Rituals of Goats - just like the Church of Scientology!

Here it is, what little there is
Has Industrial Light & Magic produced anything to qualify for these awards? Or Pixar?

Simply put:
MS Lawyer: Mr G, do well tell DoJ Windows cannot be seperated Internet Explorer?
BillG: Yes
Embedded VP: Do we allow vendors to pick which parts of the OS to include, such leaving out IE?
BillG: Yes
Dr. Evi: Ok, throw me a friggin' bone here. You say IE is inseperable, then you don't?
G: It's whatever I say it is f00!
What about Goat Moaning? Or is that too obscene for even the RIAA?

How would Sealand be a good choice? A frigate from any country in the world could destroy the "island" upon which Sealand resides.

Yes but what type of "chair" was he sitting on? Surely he'd have to relieve himself in some way . . . without sitting *in it* afterwards.

Having the 'and' between teens and cheaters denotes the two being seperate. "The teens who think soloing..." refers to a specific group of teens.
