    this is O.T. but it took a while navigating their site, to find the system requirements and supported OS, seems like a cool game though, Im glad I kept XP on the HTPC (dual boot with ubuntu)

    I work for a big telco, the one that runs fiber to the home, we don't put ends on the fiber, at least not directly. what we do is use a fusion splicer, and use a connector with a length of fiber already attached, we then splice that to the end of the fiber..

    same damn problem as in telcos and cable, (besides the rfi) the signal only trvels so far, they use fiber not only to sub stations but to neiborhood nodes. So, there is still an investment they wont do it in rural areas because there are not enough customers.

    Yep and I got that part, patches often cause trouble. the article states that there was a fear that all the peripherals could be a problem, got that too. My question is, how did the patch fare on the test machines ?
    Or, do they even have a reasonable set of test machines that reflects what they have in the field to test patches on ? It seems like they are treating this system as critical. Where is the test lab ?
