Anyone from Rockstar reading this, please get it contact with Mel Gibson and make this game! He took a snuff film and managed to make everyone in the country take their children and elderly relatives too it, think about what he could do for video games!
I get autorun whenever i pulg in my USB HD, or any cards into my card reader? XP Pro SP2. Also, your average user wouldnt know about holding down shift...
The only issue i've experienced so far... although i've stopped playing because of it after closing the first oblivion gate, is severe lagging in indoor areas and in towns. Outdoors in the wilds the game looks and runs great, but i go into a room (not a cave, no issues in dungeons and caves), and it lags to all hell. This is the opposite of what it should be, right? I've tried turning down all the settings, but nothing fixes it, even though it shouldnt be an issue because it runs great in large areas. Anybody else heard of or experienced anything like this?
Seriously, i'm a "poor college student", but im gonna save $150 from each of my next three paychecks (just started a summer job), and get a 1080i HDTV by the middle of summer. Yeah you can get a 20" non-flad SDTV for $150, but why bother now. Yeah the TV i'm getting isn't 2" thck, but who cares, its higher rez than any of the $800 LCDs walmart offers. $450 for a 30" brand name 1080i TV is not a bad deal, and you know what systems i plan on hooking up to it? My original Xbox (chipped with a big HD), and a Wii when it comes out.
Let's all just agree that Skittlebrau is the best beer.
Having conducted said test with a package of smoothie skittles and 2 cans of miller lite (i wouldnt waste good beer on it, although i'm drinking a PBR ATM), skittlebrau is definitly drinkable. Granted it was after a pint of whiskey...
I think that just like Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo will release 2 different bundles, but the cheaper one wont have any crippled functionality. I'm thinking $200, for just the console and 1 wiimote with the nunchuck attachment, and $250 for lthe same with 1 classic controller, and maybe a game an/or gift certificate for virtual console too. I'm looking forward to virtual console and whatever sort of promotions they'll have with it. Remember the pepsi/itunes thing last summer? 1 in 20 caps wins $5 on virtual console. That'll be sweet...
I pointed this out to a friend, and he said, "dude, not every game is going to use all the motion sensing crap, some are just going to turn the right hand controller over 90 degrees and use that". But, wait. Then, we've got a square controller, with a 4-way D-pad on the left side, and two buttons on the right side. Here's an artist's rendering.
Exactly, its for the virtual console, you can play NES games with nothing more than the Wiimote turned sideways. You need the other controller (bastard son of an SNES and PS Dual shock controller) for SNES, turbografix, genesis and N64 games. They've also already shown it being used sideways in Excite Truck and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam.
That is a gamepad for the virtual console, dont expect it to work with and/or be required for any Wii games, but it might work with gamecube games too.
I have an LCD monitor, a good one too, so its not the 2lb 15" ones you see at walmart. 50lb is a conservative estimate for my computer, i've actually never weighed it. Steel case, 2 opticals, 3 hard drives, 2 video cards, 1 with a heavy heatsink, heavy CPU heatsink, quality (heavy!) 550w PSU, plus my mouse, keyboard, headphones, ethernet cables, everything else i need tucked in the lan carrier. So its all of that on a single handle while i have the LCD in the original box, thankfully with a handle, in the other hand.
Yeah, but that 15lb laptop is smaller and lighter than my 50lb desktop (and signifigantly more powerful, but mines 2 years old) with seperate keyboard and 20" monitor that i have to lug to lan partys and move every 4 months (college student).
I have a 20" Cinema display with my PC (along with a 15" secondary monitor and a 19" tv for tertiary), and i love it, but some people who use my computer say its just too big (not me though). Plus even now (i bought it when it came out), its still too expensive. My friend just bought a 24" dell display for less than the Apple costs, and its got multiple inputs, hubs, a card reader and is adjustable. Not to say that the apple doesnt have classy simplicity, but its still too damn expensive. Apple would do good releasing a companion display for mac-mini, a 17" widescreen priced at about $300. We know they have them, since the old iMacs, and the powerbooks and now macbooks have them. This would put together a complete mac system for $1000, which is the perfect price point for most people for such a quality machine.
Although as someone else mentioned that if the margins on iMacs are much better, then theyre not going to do this and continue to use mac-minis to upsell iMacs.
I found out about Tabula Rasa a while back when i was looking for a non-fantasy, non-ship based sci-fi MMO. Of course Galaxies fits the bill for what i want, but it still sucks. I read a little bit about it and i've been eagerly awaiting it, but the new stargate MMO sounds intriguing.
Uhg, im a recent high school grad, i agree soo much. So much that people complain about with regards to school is just wrong. Teachers salaries too low? Average i've heard is around $40k to start, and remember, they only work 8 months out of the year. That equals $60k a year starting pay. Thats a lot for a BA/BS and no experience in anything. Plus most of them get government benifits. As for smaller class sizes, thats a scam too to get more teachers on the payroll. Why does the teachers union think teachers cant handle more than 10 kids at a time? Remember one room schoolhouses, where 1 teacher would teach 50 students in different grades. I thought the quality of education in this country had been declining since then, why dont we go back to that? And before you flame me, my mom is a public school teacher, and most of these opinions are from her.
Megatsunamis have happened every couple hundred years throughout history, this could very well be the cause of the flood. I remember hearing somewhere what happend was some entire cliff somewhere in the mediteranian broke off into the sea and flooded most of mesopotamia.

They're saying it was more as powerful as an atomic weapon.

Cream Chese is delicious.
I dont think NASA is allowed to turn a profit. I think all their innovations are de-facto public domain or something like that.

You can get a 7900gs for AGP.

G4 will be covering E3 (you sunk my battleship!) live the whole week.
Parent and none of the sibling posters seem aware of it. Did i dream it? Oh, guess i didnt. And in fact, its a 5 button mouse.

AFAIK, the US doesnt have that. Yet. Aside from an industry agreed upon levy on "Music" CD-Rs for standalone burners.
That was the joke in the fark headline from when this was anounced.
