no error messages...the app just did something it shouldn't have. he switched to the backup and continued on.
no means of remote control
what kind of remote controller is he looking for?
i thought by definition, remote control refers to a program's or device's ability to control a computer system or another device from a remote location. don't you need a computer with wireless capabilities to setup this device? what kind of controller is he looking for?
if he wants to control itunes remotely, changing songs and adjusting the volume, he can use a USB IR remote controller.
here is where the simplicity of applescript shows.
drag an app to the script editor, and it will list the available commands for that app.
the scripting language itself is very simple, it uses plain english like syntax like run, open, tell, and others.
The honda Element's factory radio has line ins in the back.

specially when you're trying to run OS X on Intel's processor. A lot of people I know bought a Mac because of OS X, it didn't matter if it was "slower" than a comparable Intel processor in certain functions. Show me an Intel processor than can run OS X (not just Darwin) then we can start talking about speed comparisons.
a couple things to consider...
it seems like mail.app is not fooled by this thing. Also, Get Info sees it as an application. lastly, it has to be stuffed or its resource fork gets stripped and it's useless. If this can only be executed by itunes then maybe it's not so bad after all.
if most of those users are on dial-up.
If 3/4 of the US population had broadband, the prices would most likely drop. I'm tired of paying $40/mo for cable modem service. DSL is not much cheaper and a lot slower than cable modem.
so, if Microsoft (or any foreign software company) decides to outsource some software development to China, will it be considered a domestic product, since it would technically be made in China?
MS Longhorn SP2 will come out.
I will lose my side business. That extra money i get fixing PCs infected with spyware and viruses is what i use to fund my Mac purchases.

someone used a link by BaumSquad from the Real Akira Motorcycle thread to create something "newsworthy".
they can call it shit for all I care. As long as it works well, renders websites correctly, and standards compliant, i'm all for it.
IIRC (i haven't used my powermate in a while), you can program the button so clicking and turning the knob scrolls sideways.
even worse, they'll have clippy help you search what you're looking for.

maybe folks itching to play the game without spending money will figure out how to port it to their machines.
part of the monster truck show is a transformer, and they've been doing it for years. it's not quite as good as the mini, but it's the same concept.
No need to worry, and we all know why...
a patch will be out (if it isn't already out) within days, sometimes hours. I don't have to rely on MS.
