NetNewsWire checks every hour (or whatever interval you select) from the time it started up or woke from sleep, so if you start it at 9:42 it will check at:42 after each hour.
I'm a developer and I listen to Peter Gabriel, Dave Matthews Band, jazz, some occasional Clash & the Pogues, and lots of African music. I love Antibalas & Fela with their 20-minute or longer jams. I find English lyrics a distraction when I'm working, so I usually listen to music with non-English lyrics.
Start her out with Cocoa & ObjectiveC or AppleScript Studio. She can start designing visually in interface builder and then look at the generated code and add functionality or use AppleScript Studio to develop it into a full application.
$result = $db->sql_query("SELECT rid, name, url from ".$prefix."_related where tid=$id");
which pass URL parameters directly to the query without validating them and don't enclose them in quotes. By simply appending some SQL code to the end of a URL it can alter that query to do nasty things. Simply quoting all user parameters in SQL queries and using intval() to insure that any values that should be integers actually are fixes a huge number of holes.
Nukecops has a secure patched version which fixes the known holes and adds extensive parameter checking.
Nuke isn't really a blogging tool. Look at Drupal instead.
I still have one PHP-Nuke site using a 'secure' patched version from nukecops. It still got hacked, after which I installed the newer security patches and fixed a few other things. I'm starting to really hate Nuke.
I'm planning to migrate to Drupal as soon as I can add all of the functionality. I moved another Nuke site to Drupal and was able to transfer most of the content, but that site was a lot simpler.

After a man named Hinkley attempted to assasinate president Reagan, they changed his name to "Hanley" because they didn't want to be associated with him. For a while they simply called him Mr. H.
I live in a 276 unit (34 buildings) condo complex. Right now we have Comcast, but we're supposed to be getting a deal with DirecTV where they put one dish on each building if people want it.
Until a few months ago broadband internet wasn't available here although we did have digital cable. BellSouth SlowAccess DSL is so bad that I would have considered switching to Comcast if they didn't also suck.
Since Comcast started upgrading our service we've had very frequent outages, sometimes lasting several hours. On several occasions they also broke water pipes when they were burying cables. Last Thursday evening, the entire complex was without water for more than 3 hours.
We pay $66/month for basic Digital cable with no premium channels, and it's missing a lot of channels I would like, such as the Sundance channel. DirecTV offers more channels for a lot less. I could even get two premium packages and still pay less.
No wonder we have to keep making faster CPUs just to maintain the same performance. Is Java on a PIII or G4 any faster than hand-optimized assembly code on a 486 or 68030?
Soon we'll need a 10 GHz CPU just to be able to boot tomorrow's OS in less than 5 minutes.
My first was a Super Elf from Quest electronics, with a whopping 4K of RAM on the expansion card and an S-100 adapter. I never could get the video card & TTY keyboard working, so I was never really able to run Tiny Basic.
After that, I got an Ohio Scientific Challenger 1P, complete with a floppy drive. My first printer was one of those awful Radio Shack printers that used silver thermal paper. I soon replaced it with a Base 2, which eventually became known for bursting into flame.
WOW! I used to have one of those. I even had one of the dual-floppy expansion boxes.
Right now my oldest machine is a Blue & White G3/350, with 768M of RAM running Mac OS X Server.
Senegal has a successful chain of cybercafes, the Joko Clubs, where internet access is available to everyone. It was started by a popular Senegalese singer, not by the government or outsiders.
If you have a cat, the roll needs to face towards the wall, or you'll find it unrolled and most of your home TPd. On the other hand, my can is now able to unroll it in either direction.
Only one other person showed up. We spent a lot of time talking & still had a good time.
The people at Corner Pocket Billiards (which is only 5 minutes from my home) weren't aware of the event. If we get a decent crowd next month, it should probably be moved to Georgie's Alibi, which is right next door, but has a lot more room & serves food.
I buy CDs, but I usually listen to the original CD once, rip the songs I like and play the MP3s most of the time. I'll occasionally play the CDs in my home stereo since the sound quality difference is very noticeable.
I also burn lots of music mix CDs to play in my car, so I can listen to 80 minutes of the music I like non-stop.
I test drove the Prius but ended up buying a 2003 Corolla S because it felt more comfortable & performed better on the highway.
Maybe in a few years hybrid cars will perform as well as gas-only cars and won't cost too much more, and when that happens I'll probably buy one.

I received that very first spam at my netcom shell account and read it with Pine.

If it wasn't for the cold weather, I'd move there. I already work for a company in Vancouver, although I telecommute from Florida.
I use the following script:
#!/bin/sh
for ((i=0;i<$1;++i));
do echo -n "." ; curl -s $2 >/dev/null;
done
Run it like this:
spamslam 500 http://spammers_site/obscene_message
He'll then find 500 copies of your obscene message in his log (not to mention lots of extra useless hits).

There are actually people reading Slashdot who have had a date at some point in their life and are married with children? :)
Yes. I never got any until last week. I had to set iChat to allow messages only from people on my buddy list.
I want to personally kill him with my own hands. I truly hate that man and want him dead.

At least it didn't get stuck in Uranus.
Emacs is in the default install.
Yes. I always thought we had an advantage because we aren't distracted by women.
Hey - that's me! 40-something, gay, single, no kids, although I do own a home.
