    This caused quite a stir on the digital photography message boards like DPReview, where Canon apparently tried to have all links to the press release taken down.

    If you use Cooledit, you can save the stream of sound coming through your soundcard directly to an mp3. However, its not going to be insanely high quality if you are streaming it, and then compressing that with mp3 will make it even worse.

    This was on MSNBC today. Seems that although earlier they said that cell phone users are stupider, aparently now they are more polite.

    The Government of Greece just announced that they will be banning the game "Rock, Paper, Scissors" in order to prevent illegal gambling. Since it is difficult to tell the difference between this game and normal human hand gestures, anyone who makes a fist, holds a hand out with the palm side down, or makes a "peace" symbol with their hand will either be required to pay an insane fine or spend time in prison.

    If you HAVE a new 128 mb video card (which isn't that cheap!), you probably also have a fast processor and motherboard, and lots of memory anyway.

    I strongly doubt you would buy a fast processor with an agp motherboard (needed for the card), and desperately needed memory so badly, that you take from the 128 mb video card.

    Then he would have enough money to buy a beowulf cluster consisting of 1001 of them (Including the own he currently owns ;-) )

    This expensive cluster would probably run a modified version of Tux Racer at a decent number of FPS.

    That as long as they are switching to an XScale Processor, they should also increase the mhz at least 400mhz to compete with other devices...they actually lowered it 6 mhz instead! The chip has the capability, they just decided not to use it I guess.

    Be sure to make sure your site is even up AT ALL! The site doesn't take forever, it just doesn't exist!

    However, if it was taken down by the slashdot effect, it proves that more people click on story links rather than banner ads...but everyone already knew that :-)

    Specifically that model too...the battery life on the thing sucks! For something like wireless (which I don't even have), it would suck even more of the 2-3 hours you get from it. The remote wouldn't be too portable...unless you consider the fact that the docking station can be picked up :)

    The compaq iPaq handheld is actually designed to work in direct sunlight. When I use mine in direct sunlight, it looks and works great, and doesn't give reflections back.

    I strongly doubt it. The program is probably in 3d. I don't think that they would risk making a 2d program in a program to be released in 2004. If it is cartoony at all, it could be cel shaded, which would be really cool.
