Users may not care, as long as it does the job. A manager however must see / hear a few buzzwords or the product is automatically crap and uninteresting.
By adding ghostcams to the game these professional games could even be televised and make more profit by selling the TV rights... like they do with other sports.
When it is possible to show something at booting in 16 million colours it will only be a matter of a few days before someone creates a patch so that we can all boot with porn images so we can start the day right:)
Next we build us a scanner (a large knife that slices us up and examines every cell) then we can scan ouself into the computer... email yourself to your favorite holiday country and print yourself out!
Shall I fax you a sandwitch?:)
Wouldn't that that forever? A 10 meter drop would take approximately one second. Since several drops are needed for one byte it will take 8 seconds for one byte to be send over. If they do not use TCP/IP and just send over a RAW 320 x 256 picture (MCGA) they would have to wait : 655360 seconds. This will be: 7 days, 14 hours, 2 minutes and 40 seconds...
They probably use FTP for upgrading the flash rom as well. I wonder if they use a VPN connection. I also would like to know what the PING will be... I wouldn't recommend starting a CounterStrike server on it:)
"Mr. Christmas said he didn't even know what email was. Obviously a PC user."
The idiot really is a dumb Mac fan... 1 PC user probably knows MORE of computers than 2 Mac users ever will... Windows isn't that slick in it's interface as MacOS; you really *NEED* knowledge to use it.
How the guy just goes from a massive multiplayer game to open source development simply goes beyond my astonnishment. You can't compare that.
He is also too negative towards Mozilla in my point of view. I don't think he really tried a release.
They had an offering, if you let them install a network card + software + configuration I would have spent EUR 300,- more. They would have charged me EUR 100,- for the network card what normally cost me EUR 10,- (no kidding). Labour cost are also extremly high. I used a do-it-yourself-kit.
Before using a cable I had a dailup, they also provide software I didn't want to install (also contains spyware).
Funny how everybody seems to know how to stop the messages from comming in, but no one really seems to stop the problem from emerging in the first place. Let's focus on stopping people from sending then... it would make the world a lot more nicer than it is now...
We have the same problem in the Netherlands. We are the largest CD consumers in the world (in percentages!). I don't even remember the last time I saw a LP. Prices here have been high for quite a while. There once was an investigation to look into the fixed price myth (Witch we all know here is true). But I guess the RIAA in our country (different name here) simply got a nice 'bonus', smiled and stepped aside.
Recently I read an article in a newspaper here that some small record labels agreed with us hackers that illegal MP3 swapping was not causing the CD sales to drop, it's the huge price. They dropped their prices... everybody is waiting to see what happend next...
X-Box might be a nice console, frankly I don't know. I do not own any of them. I have played on a PS ONE once, it was kinda fun. I only know that I have spend more than $2000,- on my PC. So why bother to buy a game console for playing games? It would cost me MORE money, since I can also play games on my PC i'll stick to that.
Plus: I read that some people prefer a keyboard to play with. I have a Logitech Wingman for my games but I never use it. I play Ghost Recon, Delta Force Land Warrior and games like it. You can not play with anything else BUT with a keyboard when playing those games... (but that is just my opinion). I once read an interview with the best Quake (1 a that time) in the Netherlands. He used you hands on a keyboard and didn't use a mouse. His left hand was for server side commands and his right for client side... let's see that on a console:)

Beware of the spontanious spawning of child processes :)
...porn, one 100 MB file can fit between those utilities, right?

Either he doesn't know his own kids do it too, or he doesn't have them. Or he actually pays the huge prices for the CD's for his kids...
Why not call it 'Something Moore said about processors' that would also clearify it for non-techies.

Since no one has come forward to sacrefice themself, I will look at the porn tapes to verify the copyright, just enclose some cleanex with it ok?
This article was to illustrate that VHS was very good for making copies, hence the duplicate news.
Also I wonder if it's possible to intersect and analyze any IRC/SSL (IRC over SSH) traffic? Yes, it's called Carnivore and Echelon.

What about new skin for people that are badly burned? This is probably one of the first steps that can be done and that has a high demand.

Can it keep an IRC channel open?
Will this study be publish on the net?

Then we will call it a "Bit Bin" in Linux :)
My first machine was a 4.7 Mhz 8086...
