    that's funny. First thing I did with my HP/Compaq nx8000 was to put FC2 on it. Runs very nicely thanks. Only piece of h/ware that needed wrangling was the wirelss adaptor.

    I don't think its the copying of shows that is the issue in oz.
    The tv market in Australia relies really heavy on advertisers.

    What are the chances of this becoming an election issue?
    Under its current policies, including an opposition to a 5th commercial free-to-air station, This department would not be in favour.

    I'm not an economist either, but didn't/don't they have such a massive pile of cash that getting rid of a bit in this manner doesn't make any difference to their going backrupt or ability to spend, lend or acquire - let alone the stock price. Besides, there's probably also some tax writeoff involved :)
