Oh dear. All the tottent sites are being slashdotted again. No more search sites for a week or so... again.
Seriously, if you like BT and the search sites then don't post links.

Maybe they are teaching the children that life isn't just about boring book studying. They are probably teaching the children how to interact with each other and the world around them. I would hazard a guess that the children might actually enjoy a break from the classroom once in a while and it probably makes school a bit more interesting.
School doesn't have to be long training course for a job.
No no. Honest, I was not trolling. It was just an opinion.
For me, the story was about a lossless audio format and downloading music off the Internet. It didn't cross my mind about the streaming side of things even though I've read about it somewhere. Download, burn and delete is a favourite for me and lots of other people too.
I don't understand your 2:1 ratio statement. I understand 30MB of downloading though... Putting that in perspective for me again; 30MB takes ~4 minutes to download.
BTW... Do any CD Burning programs support FLAC-2-CD as many support MP3-2-CD? Would I still have to convert them back to WAV before burning?
The last paragraph is trolling as I know the answer. See the difference?
I'm not trying to troll but I did a very quick experiment last time FLAC was mentioned on here and was not impressed in the slightest.
I took one CD and ripped it to a single standard WAV file. I then compressed it with both FLAC and WinRAR and the results only differed by 20-30MB in favour of FLAC.
"Because you can't take the DVD back once you open the package?"
This must be an American thing? No? Seen it said so many times on here.
I've always taken back CDs and games in the UK. Not DVDs, true, but I've yet to find one worth buying.
The shops are fine with this. They ask for a false name and address to make sure you are not scamming them but that's no real problem. I say "it does not fit my requirements" and they accept that reason. I know some people who make up silly stories about why they want a refund but there really is no need.
What's in it for them?
1. My money is in their till and not a competitors for a few days.
2. There is a good chance I will spend my refund in their shop or that I will come back in the future.
There are probably more reasons. It makes good sence to me.
Sure, I've copied the odd disk but I've actually not bothered most of the time and just kept it or returned it.
Over a million on the eDonkey network and over 50 P2P clients last time I checked. The number is shy I think.
Compare that to the 9.6 million British people who watched "The Mask of Zorro" for nothing on a Thurday in December 2001, this is a small silly number. [Source]
I use IE and have tabbed windows. Does that make it a real browser now?
Try Avant Browser then please STFU. It's a browser, it lets me view media, and it does its job fine. You Mozilla users are getting real boring with your elitism.
I'm right handed and wear my watch on my right wrist.
I guess we are both buggered.
Get a better gfx card... The card makes all the difference.
I am currently playing Wolf:ET on my P3 450 with a crappy GF2 64MB. Put the settings down to minimum and it plays fine.
I also completed Vice City on the same setup. It's jumpy when it rains but still enjoyable.
I think the looooong first sentence did it.
lol. Well done.
I believe you would of found more with SpybotSD. Or maybe they use a different counting system. Or maybe I caught extra spyware whilst rebooting...
Anyway, it seems more suited to a site like this than Ad-aware does.
This was one of the first video games I ever played. Played it on a BBC micro if I remember right. Very cool back then.
Anyway. I managed 7600 points, first go on the Java emulator. Surely a million isn't that hard :p

It looks like the guy who scanned them in out of the Danish magazine tried to remove the moire pattern by adding some sort of blurring filter.
They all look enlarged too. I expect the magazine screenshots were no more than thumbnails.
Yes, so confident am I with Spam Gourmet that I even use it on Usenet...

Jabberwocky is fine on OfficeXP - sorry.
:)
I always liked this:
Eye have a spelling chequer,
It came with my Pea Sea,
It plainly marques for my revue
Miss steaks aye can knot sea.
Eye strike a quay and type a whirred
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write,
It shows me strait a weigh.
As soon as the misses ache is maid
It nose before two long
And aye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.
Eye have run this poem threw it,
I am sure your pleased to no,
Its letter perfect awl the weigh,
My chequer tolled me sew.
Wonderful.
I thought you were going to mention the British steel industry...
I've only read the modded posts...
You have to ask yourself this question "If piracy stopped tomorrow, would the price of games fall?"
I think anyone who answers 'yes' needs to think a bit harder.

Martyn Brown says "It will be ported sooooooooooooooooooooon"
Not a funny joke but funnier than waiting 3 years for the Armageddon patch.
Here what I don't understand:
How does it solve the main P2P problem of leechers?
No way dude. C&C on the playstation rocked. I bought a used Sony mouse for £10 and it did the job fine.
Saying that though, I did buy a PC 6 months later because I knew games like C&C would be so much better.
Well fucking fuck my fucking karma today as well then.
BTW you all suck.
BSA were also a motorbike manufacturer. My old man always said it stood for Best Shit Around.
It's a bit hard to get all three mixed up though, isn't it? Hence, there is no problem here.

Maybe you should use BitTorrent to reduce your bandwidth load and costs.
With all the different ports that the eDonkey network uses, how do you track this?
60% of my posts are bollocks too.
In England we have a similar thing that happens in the Bristol Channel/Severn Bore.
People even surf uphill along it.
I found this picture. http://www.boreriders.com/Photos/s10.jpg
