While I agree that the formats above are great, they do have limitations when it comes to extensibility and just plain readability. Thats why so many databases use XML, it's always extensible and usually human readable.
Plus writing tools to manipulate XML vs. a Binary format is much easier.
Well it seems that one of SCO's only decent markets (Retail POS systems) is going down the pooper.
If Microsoft convinces the large retail chains that having a Microsoft managed inventory and POS system will be benificial, SCO is further screwed (but who do I root for?)
My apologies to any red headed step-children.
now I just need a utility to send a nastygram to the admin of whatever domains do this. I am already getting yelled at for bandwidth issues with my ISP (distro torrents)
Also my first downloaded MP3! on a 486DX2 50mhz with 12MB or RAM running in WinAMP with the Integer math 8-Bit Mono to actually get playing. And it was only a 128 encoded file. Ah, those were the days.
if the car were at a slight rotation on the ramp, gravity would turn the wheels. Low tire pressure and rolling resistance would stop the car very quickly. That, or having the parking brake on oh so lightly.
With an operating temperature of 32 - 104 degrees Farenheit, make sure you park your car in the garage. Furthermore the viewing angle it 10 degrees from the top and 30 from the bottom. Mounting it upside down and running the signal appropriately might be a good idea.
The admin at my work was way ahead on this one.. not only did he try to scare us by saying it was illegal.. but he used a script to email EACH employee a list of mp3 and ogg files on our comps.. no way did i think he would catch my ogg files.. damn he's good. Thats one way to stop this stuff at work.

I always wanted to put a vapor-phase cooling system in my computer. I have always decided against this due to the noise the compressor makes. Now we finally have a video card the is louder than a compressor when its 3-d pipeline is running (73db). I am going to have to install it this summer. For now my room is cold, and I may run a heat pipe from the card in front of my feet.
Most CRT's double in price in two inch increments.
Now I understand that because it becomes difficult to make a larger vacuum tube as volume increases. The same thing does not apply to LCD's in terms of production costs. However, since the standard price scale works that way, Sony will make a killing on their 17-19 inch lcds.
Thats my theory as to why they are killing of CRT's.

With Microsoft supplying the OS, this is most definately going to fail as a console system. If it ever got popular, Microsoft would kill it off.

If you look around, the board actually has 4 MB of flash, stated on the site, not in the spec sheet.
