So if the people who leaked the information believe that they were doing it for the public good because they believe that their party is better suited to lead the country do they get a pass? When you start to differentiate because of ideals you really muddy up the water. I'm not saying what the Republicans did here was right or wrong because I have mixed opinions about it. I just want to see people held to the same standards.
Baseless??? You might want to go back and see how many indictments/arrests were made in regards to Whitewater. How about 12 convictions including the Clinton's business partners Jim McDougal, who died in prison, and Susan McDougal, who refused to testify, former Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker and Mrs. Clinton's Rose Law Firm partner and Associate Attorney General Webster Hubbell. I wouldn't say that investigation was baseless.
"why are you hotswapping a ps/2 device? "
You've never accidently unplugged your keyboard or mouse with your foot or pulled the keyboard too far from the machine or had something fall behind your desk and it? It's a real pain in the arse to reboot just to get it working again. Not a common occurance but it would be nice to just plug it in and move on just the same.
I bought a precision workstation less than a year ago and it doesn't have firewire. I just looked at the website and only the the Dimension XPS has firewire while the next model down has 8 usb 2.0 ports.
Anyone remember the guy who would dress up as a cell phone and run around grabbing the cell phones out of people's hands and then breaking them? If you have a link can you share it here? The looks on the people's faces were priceless. Not that I would promote such behavior =)

I think you have it backwords. At least where I live the prices are always cheaper for minus Rs. As far ar compatibility I've never used a -R but I have a DVD+R(W) and the dvds I've made work on every recorder I've tried them in from a cheap APEX, PS2, and JVCs to higher end Progressive scan Denon and Onkyo units. About 15 or so different units.
Nice one coward. It's nice to see someone so compassionate about people who work at Wa-mart looking down on someone who's happily in the middle class. Fact is not all Republicans are rich greedy fat cats. I live a comfortable life and I just want the government to leave me alone and stay out of my wallet. My wife doesn't have to work and my kids are all well provided for. Considering most people in this country end up doing about as well as their parents I'd say I'm doing pretty well. Oh, and my individual income is in the top 10% of my region but I don't consider myself rich by any means.

You can always spot a bleeding heart liberal. They have no understanding of economics and they always want to give away someone else's money. How much money have you donated to the federal government? If you haven't voluntarily given anything then shut your trap. There's nothing keeping Democrats from writing checks out to the government for their "fair share".
Not sure why I "owe" them anything. I joined the Marines to pay for my college so I could get into the middle class. Both of my parents worked at Wal-mart when I was young (and they both still do.) They aren't getting rich but they are doing fine. Also, if Wal-mart pays the employees more what do you think will happen to prices? Let me explain something to you. When costs go up so do prices. Where do people with little incomes shop? Wal-mart that's where. So as prices go up at Wal-mart they go up everywhere. And as prices move up so do wages everywhere else. In a free society people are paid what their services are worth. When you try to artificially inflate that then it raises the bar for everyone and so you're back to where you started.
I guess you haven't seen the protesters down in Florida or the ones a few years ago up in Seattle? Liberal extremists are just as nutty as Christian extremists (if not more so.) The real difference lies in causes. People from the Earth Liberation Front will burn car dealerships because they believe it will somehow stop "global warming" while Christians fight to give every man, woman, and child "everylasting life".
he never mentioned converting. He said that he archived his CD collection so what makes you think he would convert the ogg files to mp3 instead of ripping from the CD?
you're right, i should have said 7 year olds spending 16 hours a day going through garbage and separating something "valuable" from used condoms and other garbage for 50 cents a day.

I think your attitude towards 'workers' gives Republicans a bad name. Would you have the rights of workers in this country moved back 100 years? We've seen what a lack of any government protection brings. Turn the clock back to the early 20th century and tell me that the laws we have now to prevent the exploitation of the 'worker' haven't helped. I guess your conscience (or lack thereof) allows you to believe that giving an 8-year who works 12 and 13 hour days, 7 days a week, a cardboard box to sleep in and $2 a week is fair compensation for your new pair of nikes.
So apple gave the schools IBM clones so that they could run whatever OS they wanted? I don't think so. When Apple comes in and donates a machine they lock the door behind them because last I checked you can't run a M$ OS on a G3.
Can you show me where you get your stats when you say "corporations are the largest means of election funding"? You may be right, but I find that hard to believe. Also, who runs these "corporations"? I'm not sure that I know of one sentient "corporation". Corporations 'give' about as much money to campaigns as they pay in taxes. The truth is that all campaign donations, just like all taxes, are paid by people (whether it's through a corporation or not.)

Where was your outrage then?

The point was that by unplugging or plugging in a PS2 device while the computer is powered on you can damage the motherboard.
Not sure I saw much outcry when someone posted internal memos from Diebold?

I did the same thing only with a 16Gig folder and USB clocked in at about 20% faster.

You don't mind memory makers getting together and artificially inflating the price you pay for RAM? How interesting.

Here's a list of switches
How many countries spend more $$$ per child than the US on education?
he never mentioned converting. He said that he archived his CD collection so what makes you think he would convert the ogg files to mp3 instead of ripping from the CD?
so your parents raised all the kids you had contact with at school?

Forgive my ignorance but I thought the emulator allowed you to run some windows apps, not the OS itself.
So apple gave the schools IBM clones so that they could run whatever OS they wanted? I don't think so. When Apple comes in and donates a machine they lock the door behind them because last I checked you can't run a M$ OS on a G3.
