So if the people who leaked the information believe that they were doing it for the public good because they believe that their party is better suited to lead the country do they get a pass? When you start to differentiate because of ideals you really muddy up the water. I'm not saying what the Republicans did here was right or wrong because I have mixed opinions about it. I just want to see people held to the same standards.

Baseless??? You might want to go back and see how many indictments/arrests were made in regards to Whitewater. How about 12 convictions including the Clinton's business partners Jim McDougal, who died in prison, and Susan McDougal, who refused to testify, former Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker and Mrs. Clinton's Rose Law Firm partner and Associate Attorney General Webster Hubbell. I wouldn't say that investigation was baseless.

Nice one coward. It's nice to see someone so compassionate about people who work at Wa-mart looking down on someone who's happily in the middle class. Fact is not all Republicans are rich greedy fat cats. I live a comfortable life and I just want the government to leave me alone and stay out of my wallet. My wife doesn't have to work and my kids are all well provided for. Considering most people in this country end up doing about as well as their parents I'd say I'm doing pretty well. Oh, and my individual income is in the top 10% of my region but I don't consider myself rich by any means. ice

You can always spot a bleeding heart liberal. They have no understanding of economics and they always want to give away someone else's money. How much money have you donated to the federal government? If you haven't voluntarily given anything then shut your trap. There's nothing keeping Democrats from writing checks out to the government for their "fair share".

Not sure why I "owe" them anything. I joined the Marines to pay for my college so I could get into the middle class. Both of my parents worked at Wal-mart when I was young (and they both still do.) They aren't getting rich but they are doing fine. Also, if Wal-mart pays the employees more what do you think will happen to prices? Let me explain something to you. When costs go up so do prices. Where do people with little incomes shop? Wal-mart that's where. So as prices go up at Wal-mart they go up everywhere. And as prices move up so do wages everywhere else. In a free society people are paid what their services are worth. When you try to artificially inflate that then it raises the bar for everyone and so you're back to where you started.

I think your attitude towards 'workers' gives Republicans a bad name. Would you have the rights of workers in this country moved back 100 years? We've seen what a lack of any government protection brings. Turn the clock back to the early 20th century and tell me that the laws we have now to prevent the exploitation of the 'worker' haven't helped. I guess your conscience (or lack thereof) allows you to believe that giving an 8-year who works 12 and 13 hour days, 7 days a week, a cardboard box to sleep in and $2 a week is fair compensation for your new pair of nikes.

Can you show me where you get your stats when you say "corporations are the largest means of election funding"? You may be right, but I find that hard to believe. Also, who runs these "corporations"? I'm not sure that I know of one sentient "corporation". Corporations 'give' about as much money to campaigns as they pay in taxes. The truth is that all campaign donations, just like all taxes, are paid by people (whether it's through a corporation or not.)
